What did you use your Izula for today?

Went out to eat at Olive Garden tonight and was given a steak knife that was not only dull, but had bad geometry (serrations ground at about a 70-degree angle, no joke) so I whipped out my Izula. Did the job great. ;)

Same thing happened to me at a Crackerbarrel, whipped out my buck 112 and went to work on my steak, sure got some funny looks from the waitress and folks at the surrounding tables. Funny thing is my wife and sisiter in law never gave it a second look. They know.

In a word, everything. I have been using mine to cut everything I can find to put in front of this awesome blade. It has opened letters, cut up apples, made a walking stick for me while working. I have become quite impressed with this knife.

Field dressed her!!!!!

Here's a shot of my Izula, it's graphic, so rather than post the picture, I'll let folks decide if they want to see it or not.

Izula in action

Myself and 2 friends killed and cut up 2 pigs today, had to use my Rc3 Rc4 and Rc6,thats allot of cutting....... The izula is still pretty sharp and was the most popular tool of the day,

I have much porkyness in the freezer.....YUM YUM

Send some yummy porkyness to NC.

ETA: I used my Izula to cut weather stripping to go around my in-laws' door. I then warshed it and used it to cut up the chicken that's frying in my kitchen right now.

ETA Again: Also peeled some taters.

Nice one, Bear Claw! A hunter took a small button-head deer on our place today. I didn't have my camera for photos of the field dress.

Pics, Pics, Pics, Pics....

OK, here you go. (Sorry folks, these are a little gory)

The Izula handled it like a champ, enough that my Nephew I was hunting with, wants one for himself now.

I even batoned the Izula to separate the ribs, and afer a good cleaning at home later, it was still shaving, though not quite as good as before.

Bear Claw-

You mean it doesn't take an 8" blade to field dress a whitetail? :D Glad you put some meat in the freezer. It's pretty impressive what that little Izula will do.

Thanks for the pics. To each their own, but I've always said if you eat meat, you should be bother by seeing where it came from!

Oh, Happy Turkey-Day boys and gals!

I opened my plastic sealed fruit bags for my oatmeal, cut some landscape fabric, cut some twine on some corregated pipe, and cut some plastic drain tile....It just does it all!

A friend of mine picked up my black Izula with green paracord and while I was expecting the usual: omg-you're-such-a-warmonger reaction, instead he was like: "Dude, I'm totally getting one of these for when I go sailing — it's so compact and ergonomical". It was love at first sight for him and he was mumbling on about wanting to get the pink one just to flick off his peers hahaha!

Personally, I haven't found much use for it yet, since one is not allowed to carry knives EDC-style in Sweden unless it's for a specific task. For instance, one may carry a knife while using it for hunting, while working construction or hiking etc. It is a nice little blade to bring along when I go hiking or camping or whatever.

Used my Izula today to open a package I got yesterday, new batteries for my Digital camera :)

I am doing the T-day dinner this year, so I am sure it will get a good workout!

ok first i have to clarify-i havent used it yet today. but yesterday i was hanging out back by the firepit enjoying a smoke and a hot cuppa joe. so one of my neighbors has some stray cats and there are a cupla kittens about 4 months old. one was mewwing softly but persistently. decided to get up and check it out. the kitten had somehow crawled up and got itself inside a large fishnet leaning against the shed. it was just about to choke to death. knife on hip to rescue. cut that little bugger out right now. he screamed at me the whole time but was a happy little sucker to get outta that mess. btw-do i owe my neighbor a new net? it was his cat but i did completely destroy his net......

ugh... I ruined my perfectly good soccer net that I got when I used to play when I was a kid by having to cut the neighbors dog out of it.

About a week or two ago, I went outside to smoke barefooted. I often walk around barefoot at my place, and while camping, used to do it at my old job all the time, etc. Well I was over at my girl's in the city. Bad call. Had a tiny slice on my foot that hurt like hell when I got back in. Figured it was no big deal. Cleaned it up and let it go. Every step was pain though. I'm lazy so i just ignored it. Today it got a little more painful, so I decided to check it out. Poked in with the Izula a bit, and heard the unmistakable sound of glass on metal. Spent about ten minutes digging out tiny little shards of glass. Lesson learned. When in doubt...stab yourself.

Ouch. I went O.O when I saw the Izula in your foot.

I just recieved my Izula today. Used it to open up the paracord wrapping, then wrapped it up. Pics when I find my camera.
