What did you use your Izula for today?

Cut open a bag of candy last night, and cut the zip ties off of a new bedside lamp. :)

Dang Chris.. That's effin scarry. opossums are some of the freakiest looking things out there. Looks like an armadillo knocked up a cat.

Made bows and arrows for my son and his friend.

They spent 5 hours looking for sticks that were flexible enough.

Sucks living in the desert sometimes!

soak dry wood overnight, then straighten with shaft straightener over fire, slowly and carefully. re-soak and re-straighten often. take your time, and the most crooked shaft can be made true.

If you have choke cherry on the margins of your desert, as we do here in the west, try using it. Apache, Navajo, Hopi, Cheyanne, and their prehistoric predecessors all used choke cherry extensively.

I havn't cut anything with my Izula yet because I just ordered it this morning. I am really hoping that it gets here before this weekend so I can use it when I go up north.

batoned for tinder to build a fire, shave an esbit to get the spark to flame, sparked my rod, built a pine bough lodge, almost sliced my father, accidentally

I cut the container for my swiss flask psk to be more level after taking the top off with a dremel.

I used my izula today by showing it to a friend who is looking into better fixed blade knives and doesnt know what to buy..... Then I asked him if he wanted to see my RC4 and he was like "YEAH!". New RAT Customer? Hope so!

To baton lots of kindling - the coating is disappearing.... but it was hard dry ash and its not the first time the izula has been used for batoning :-) ... its actually quite good at it - I use wedges (made with the izula) to split bigger pieces... Regarding comfort of the handle im not a fan, but I rate the knife as the minimal survival blade, and in this category I think the izula is the best on the market today. In a survival situation: Handle comfort will not be my main concern :-)

A new Rat design could be a fat version of the Izula with af blade thickness of 0.25 inch (with the other specs being the same).

Nice wear marks Silent1, go post it in the RAT pack giveaway thread.

I've recently gotten my Izula and just started carrying it for EDC, its great. Nice and thin, lighter than any folder. Little less compact, but makes up for it by being thin.

Cut open straps and tape on a box containing a new drill press, Cut high density foam to make a kydex press.

haha, this thread is great. The Izula really is an all around blade, huh? Perfect for a multitude of tasks.
