What did you use your SAK for today?

I removed the rubber oil filler plug from my bottle jack.

I also reamed a hole in a lid to use as a funnel to fill the jack back up.

Earlier I used the Champion to help me put up a new mailbox. Then, I used it to make a quick lunch, and tomato and cheese sandwich.

I cut open the safety seal on a bottle of cream.



The cream was for whipping and to spread on the scones that I just baked for my wife. The thin sharp blade of the Spartan is great for slicing the crumbly top off the scone ready for filling.

I sharpened my pencil ready for a days work

This is a lot more enjoyable than it should be.

I was never in scouts but there is something nostalgic and oddly satisfying about sharpening a pencil with a knife.

I literally made a measuring stick for adjusting the delver width on my furrower. I used the saw to cut the stick off a tree and the blade to make a notch at the measurement I wanted to replicate on the off side. It wasn't millimeter perfect but my furrows don't need to be mm perfect.

Once the green nut is at the right stage I cut them up in slices and in 12 months after soaking in a secret Irish mix of alcohol and spices we have a thick dark brown drink that will knock ya socks off. I'm not a drinker but we have many compliments on its flavour. Apparently it's good on ice cream. We make about 20 liters for our family and business investors. Drop by John and you can have a bottle of last year's mix
