What did you use your SAK for today?

I once again used one of my 2 Waves for a quick fix in my Land Cruiser. I had noticed the driver's side grab handle was a bit loose and was going to go back into the house to grab a Phillips head screwdriver when I realized I had an original Wave in the glove box. Popped the screw cover off the handle and snugged it up using the Leatherman. I also keep forgetting that I have an onboard tool kit with a proper screwdriver but hey, at least I could post to this thread that I used my multitool to make a minor adjustment.

Here is a brilliant hack for opening really tight stubborn jar lids like this ALDI Deutsche Kuche Sauerkraut.

Use your SAK (or similarly featured knife or multi tool) bottle opener to gently pry the lid outward. Emphasis on gently and just a little, working around the lid. Try opening and if needed repeat until the lid can be turned.

Some openers may not work with some lids depending on the size, geometry of the opener and size, profile of the lid. But my Victorinox Trekker worked like a charm on this one.

Not my original idea. Came across it on the web recently on a cooking site.IMG_20250928_110510268_HDR.jpg

I've been doing that for over 30 years, you can also use the tip up the side. For smaller jars the tip of can opener works.
