What Did You Use Your Sebenza For Today ???

Earlier in the day, I used my large regular NCIS sebenza to cut cardboard. Later on my small classic was used to open the package of my new Canon ELPH 300 digital camera and to open the SD Card package as well. Just awhile ago, I sharpened my small SS Damascus 21 on my sharpmaker.

Earlier tonight, my whole CRK collection, including sebenza's posed for some pics. So they were all Busy flaunting their CRK Stuff !!! ;)

.......I am probably the only person that has used a $400 knife to cut painters tape....

I can assure you that you're not. :o

Today I used mine to cut my meat at lunch and to strip some Cat 5 cable. Easy day in the sand for my Sebbie.

My plain small Sebbie, new 7/11, was in my pocket when today's mail arrived. Two packages were opened. First - two new S&W grips - neat. Second - a new Arno Bernard 'Wild Dog' fb in N690 steel and giraffe bone handle - with a cape buffalo sheath. Kind of neat - both knives designed by South African knifemakers... the A. B. actually being made there and shipped here. Pix will come after Christmas AM - my wife quickly grabbed the goodie and wrapped it for my Christmas present. Here is my other A.B. knife - another 'Wild Dog' in N690 but with a spalted North American maple grip and cape buffalo sheath. I didn't think they could top that one, quality-wise - I may have been in error! I just got a brief look, sad to say.

Here is my first such Arno Bernard 'Wild Dog'... and my small Sebbie:

I have one Large CF Sebenza from KnifeArt. I opened the box and looked at it, so I guess I "used it" as eye candy?

Used the small to open the box the large came in. now the small can rest for a while

Cardboard box flaps and lots of them. So many so that the blade actually became warm to the touch and me thinks that this incurred friction seriously degrades the blade's (any blade for that matter) edge holding capabilities :).
But that is why i bought the knife.....to use it!

Now off to resharpen this micarta imbellished beauty.

Just used mu large micarta to peel a sticker off my apple. It's a tough job, but some knife has got to do it.

Used my large Sebenza yesterday for my own entertainment (playing around with it by opening and closing it) and ended up cutting my finger by accident!

I used my Sm Insingo to cut the couplings off a few damaged joints of fire hose.

Today, I used my Large Regular In God We Trust Sebenza to open the box and cut the bags and styrofoam off of my new work bench. I am an accomplished woodworker, but wanted a workbench for the basement and buying this one saved me several days time building one as heavy duty as this one. This one assembled in 1/2 hour and weighs 200 lbs. Just as Heavy Duty as the Sebenza.

Went out with some friends for some mexican and of course the girls want to eat nice and clean so instead of thrashing around with some elongated piece of plastic that's supposed to cut the food, why not use your favorite Sebenza? The "I can't bear to use it" quotes prompted me to especially use this Sebenza. I don't normally cut food with my knives in public, but these friends in particular know about my little passion so they don't freak out when one of my knives comes out.

Trimmed the strings on my weed-eater, cut up some beef ribs, opened a bag of charcoal, whittled some wood chips to start a fire. Light duty day for the Sebbie....after all, it's Sunday.

WOW... which model Insingo is that? Never seen that scale design before.
