What Did You Use Your Sebenza For Today ???

used my 2009 LE sebenza as a letter opener, cut some cord to fix my little daughters' mittens, used it to cut thread to sow my sleeping bag (use it for a hike tomorrow) and admired it. I havent' carried a sebenza in a while and started again this week, so I'm just enjoying it :)

Opened some envelopes and neutralized a nasty hangnail. Probably not what Mr. Reeve envisioned when he created the Sebenza, but what the hey?

Cutting tags off all the X-mas gifts that were purchased today.

And slicing an orange for my Blue Moon beer! Try it. . . .

Cutting paracord for lanyards, opening postal packages, slicing mushrooms for the grill (not necessarily in that order).

Cutting up steak for my burrito. Halving and quartering an avocado for guacamole.

With a thorough washing in between, of course.

I sharpened a new pencil in the university library because I forgot to bring a sharpener with me. The modified wharncliffe blade on my Insingo did a wonderful job.

Used my Insingo to do some leather work for my Izula. Started experimenting with different carry for the fixed blade. Makes a perfect combo.

This I did a few days ago:

Used my new, early Christmas present Small Sebenza to cut open a bag of cubes for our cattle and cut the string off a round bale of hay for them as well. This one is a "usin' knife" around our little ranch!

To open a package that contained my new ESEE Izula Desert Tan:

I opened a package that contained a pen.

Very strenuous. I wonder if I'm using my Sebenza too hard.

I had a corn on my foot which after some treatment from Dr Scholes was ready to come out. My small Sebenza happens to be the most freshly sharped blade and it worked great shaving down the callous and digging out the corn.
