What Did You Use Your Sebenza For Today ???

Really heavy duty work....cut the stems of some roses. Today marks one year since the first date with my wife. I had known her as a teenager, and I stumbled upon her quite by accident 6 months after my wife died. Her husband had died 7 years prior to this, and she helped me tremendously over the next 14 months as I processed the grief. Then we decided to find out if there could be more than friendship. We found a profound connection when she came to visit a year ago (we lived 1800 miles apart.) The rest is history, married 4 months later to the day.

More backdrop story, knife related of course:

After showing my wife's brother my large insingo and him drooling over it, he asked me if I had cut myself with it yet (and saying "once you draw your blood with it, it is truly yours") . As a matter of fact, I had not cut myself with it, but less than 24 hours later, I did.. Using it to pop a plastic casing open (I know, I know, not proper knife use), slipped just a little bit (luckily! I easily could have sliced the tip of my finger off) and got a 1/4 inch long paper cut thin slice in my pointer finger on my left hand.. Of course I have bumped it against everything imaginable today.. I let my wife's brother know he jinxed me

Well I'm not sure if it qualifies because its the Umnumzaan but, I hung Christmas lights today, used it to open up a bottle of Tullemore Dew, and cleaned both of my guns (mark III and XD .45) by using the swedge to get into those tight little corners the Ruger has.

I cut through spiritual materialism. Lo and behold; the blade feels noticeably sharper.

I used this one:

to carve the handle on my son's Opinel. It's probably wrong on some level to use an almost $500 knife to work on a $12 knife… :D

I used my Sebenza 21 for a comparison pic (the yard stick to which all other knives are compared to) to the knife I was EDC'ing before my Sebenza's arrival :D

I used my sebenza 25 to open a package containg a titanium cross breaching tool pendent I bought on edcforums. Its pretty sweet.

I practised opening and closing my large double-lug insingo with my left hand, so I didn't fall asleep while watching Christmas specials on the couch with my daughter. She hates it when I nod off, then we have to watch it again.

Munroe?

I used my 25 for breakfast, cracked some eggs with the spine and cut some sausage up for frying up in my Texas toast omelette sandwich.

Unfortunately nothing more exciting than opening the mail that was just bank statements ..........

I used my small micarta insingo to clear some small branches from a Christmas tree and then broke down some cardboard boxes before finally using it to cut open a pomegranate.

Used my Small Plain Jane 21 to make my lunch, cut up some onon, tomatoes, ham and home bread.

A little mayo and I'm good to go. :)

Used the large insingo to cut up some boxes. Gave both the insingo and the small 21 a sharpening and took the insingo apart for a clean and lube. It's always a pleasure to take these apart and see how snuggly they fit back together. Blade "just" slides into the frame and is just solid as a rock when back together and opened again... Absolutely no play in the blade... So nice

I should have my small micarta insingo tomorrow in the mail... My small 21 will be cutting that package open:D

Opened the box that held my new small micarta insingo. It's just a baby! Born date is 12/3/13!
Already used it to open boxes, this is my new daily use blade.
