What Did You Use Your Sebenza For Today ???

Cut some zip ties in an engine compartment. Ended up hitting the metal block. Doh!!!

The 'follow-through' in cutting nylon cable ties has spelled much misfortune for both my knives, and my hands in my life. I have decided that is a better job for pliers or sidecutters, regardless of how tempting or convenient your knife might be.

If side cutters were available, believe me, I would have used them! But sebenza means work, right?
But I'm still kicking myself

I had way more fun with my 1st 21 after I dinged the blade a couple times. Now I use it for everything. Its become a trusted companion, that I don't stress about.

I just used my sebenza 25 to open my package containing my new Fenix & Xtar lights.

That lovely time of day when the mail arrives.
Don't you love just seeing 'the box'?

I got 3 stitches in the top of my thumb because I did not want to stand and hold the gas pump handle at Go-Mart. I put a zip tie on it and went in to get my 5am cup of coffee. Got myself deep and hard cutting the zip tie off with a nice sharp spyderco. The price I paid for being half asleep with a really sharp knife, i guess.

I used my sebenza 25 to open the box containing my First William Henry Knife today. I also used the 25 sebenza to cut some cardboard containing other things I bought as well. Was a busy and expensive day.....lol.

Which WH did you get? I will be curious to hear if you like it. I have a few and think they are great.

FordFan, I got a William Henry T12 with ATS-34 blade and Fishtail Oak handle. Its small sebenza sized. I really like it and plan to do a little review on it. It is SUPER sharp as I was using it last night cutting down some cardboard and cutting shipping labels off the boxes and it slipped. Easily one of the worst knife cuts you could imagine. I should have had stitches, but just butterflied it up. There was blood everywhere, the table, floor, counter, sink...everywhere. Its just sore now is all as I have bumped it all day long at work. It happens and is just an issue with the hobby we love.....!!! As much as I like it, I don't see me getting lots of them because of the price, but this one seemed reasonable. Its an older WH T12 liner lock. When I do the review after taking some good pics, I will post it, just gotta figure out where as I am always HERE on the CRK Forum Page....lol.

Sorry to hear about the cut but like you mentioned cuts come along from time to time with this hobby. Let me know where you end up posting the review. I will be curious to hear what you have to say after using it for a while.

Also, I thought I would stop at one WH but came across a couple more "I just had to have...."

Cut up over 50 boxes and a bunch of bands like this today at work.. Still flew through the banding with no problem even with all the tape gunk on it.. 25 passes on the fine and ultrafine stones and this will be razor sharp again as it always is after a few days work...

I used my umnumzaan to open a box containing my new Spec Ops Brand T.H.E. Pack Original....!!! SWEET...!!!

Wife was making cheesecake today and one of our bags of sugar had become a block of sugar in a bag... Titanium handle on my large insingo took several whacks on the side of the bag and loosened that sucker right up.... Then the blade dove in from the top to break up the chunks inside..... easy day

This past weekend I replaced the valve cover gasket on my car. It was stuck in the groove (o-ring style gasket) on the valve cover and falling apart so I had to use my small 21 to dig it out.

Cut a block of cheese that I thought was going to be good. Turned out to taste a lot like a spicy Velveeta....Not good...
