What Did You Use Your Sebenza For Today ???

Putting together a kitchen set for my 3 year old daughter for xmas. Pieces came connected together. Snips broke the pieces free while the insongo trimmed the edges clean before fitting it together.. Did a real clean job on them too, nice and smooth...

Glad that I did not cut myself also

We had some family Christmas parties today and I have been carrying my newly acquired small Classic with African Blackwood inlays--what a beauty of a knife! The tasks it has performed have been mundane and are as follows:

Cut plastic tags off of a stuffed animal toy

Cut the bottom out of a paper cup to fashion an impromptu bullhorn for my emcee duties at our annual Bingo Bash

Cut a flap from a cardboard box to help fit the box in the rear hatch of our car

Cut a small zip tie from a zipper pouch full of dinosaur toys for my son

It's most important duty has been to simply ride along in my pocket and give me the satisfaction of owning a piece of CRK perfection.

I used my little BG42 UG to cut my meat and the DFAC Christmas Dinner today.

Freeing these Disney Princesses from the packaging for my daughter... Each one individually tied down with plastic material...

Used my small Insingo to trim baseboard that I replaced where our contractor messed up. I use this knife for everything including cutting cans, cutting copper wire, and scraping with the back of the blade. Clean it, touch up the edge, and back into my pocket it goes.

Used my large 21 to cut some heater hoses to length on my Shelby I'm building. Also scrapped some scale off the nipples on the water pump. Prolly gonna have to touch up that edge after that.

I used my large Insingo to open the remaining Festool boxes from the new tools I got for my latest project. Then I cut up all the boxes to recycle before getting out a Sharpie and my Sharp Maker for a quick pre-New Years Eve party touch up. Even with the new 25 I got recently I still find I like using the large Insingo for an EDC blade. Actually I carry them both about 50% of the time.

Last night I was able to use my Sebenza 21 and alternated with my LM Skeletool in cutting open fireworks packaging that had layers of tape and/or plastic covering the fuzes. All in all I think my relatives blasted through two Sebenza's worth of fireworks while I got away with $30 for the stuff my son likes to play with :o

Happy New Year!

I moved this past week and had my trusty small micarta insingo on me. It cut many, many boxes and lengths of rope.

Finally destroyed all if the Christmas recycling from all of the parties, having 3 kids means lots of packaging has to be downsized by the blade to fit in the recycling bin, thanks to the Large Insingo I was able to make it all fit- and a little psychotic stomping ;)
Also used it to cut up a meal at the restaurant because the knife they provided was useless.
