What Did You Use Your Sebenza For Today ???

A quick run down of the last few days chores for my small Insingo and small Reg:
--Light pruning on a burning bush and a Canadian Chokecherry
--Cutting straps from a pole support on a small fir pine
--sliced a bagel and some kiwis
--sliced a tri-fold poster board in half for my kids to share for their science presentations
--poked holes in the top of the water bottles for my little ones to drink from
--opened several pieces of mail
--sliced up cardboard to fit into recycling bin
--other various tasks I can't think of at the moment.

I really do love my Sebenzas!

1st question: Is a Sebenza 25 the ideal knife to strip armoured electrical cable with? Answer: No...not really
2nd question: Is it super fun to watch the insulation peel away like nothing with a razor sharp 25? Answer: You better believe it is!

I had a cable stripping knife in my tool-bag a few feet away, but sometimes you have to live a little :). The challenge it not to nick or scratch the inner insulation of the wires with the 25. The cable stripping knife knife if usually use for this task is pretty much dull by pocket knife standards.

Cody--sweet pics. Dare I say that these have been among the most manly pics posted to this thread?

Today I deployed my favorite small Classic all day installing bird/pest preventive netting around a new sprouting crop of Kentucky Wonder pole beans that are planted in 2 five foot planters attached to my deck.

Lots of net cutting & lots of twine cutting...would have skinned any careless squirrels, but alas they abstained from attacking while I was on the field of battle. :)

Now maybe the beans will have a fighting chance against the squirrels of the 'hood.

F...in' urban tree rats! Many of them fall to my trusty old 20 cal Benjamin air rifle. :D

Love my old small Classic Seb...it's a workhorse.

Mr. Pop... Nice write-up brother. Watch your back--ghetto squirrels are ruthless!

Thanks friend. Benjamin is pumped & loaded. Were it up to me, I'd leave maybe 2 squirrels "standing" only in respect for mysterious ecological perpetuity.

Not a Sebenza, but I just used my Ti-lock to open a carton of yoghurt at the office. It's one of those cartons that has a plastic nib you pull to open it and the nib broke off. Ti-lock to the rescue :)

I don't know if I'm getting weaker or if packages are getting tougher, but I need a knife to open just about everything these days.

Well done pvicnezi......think you might have authored the best post ever on this forum :)
I don't know if this post was sarcasm or not, but what a truthful statement about the knife community in general. I use my knife to open things you could open with a feather.

No, 'mI mostly serious. Try to open a beef jerky using the opening slit and you end up with a little torn of chunk of plastic in your hand while the jerky is still trapped in the wrapping.. Out comes the knife..

WOW.....This little thread has gotten far more recognition that I could have ever imagined. To think that it would have at current count 600+ comments and 76,000+ views.....is simply amazing. I gotta give special thanks to all who have participated. Definitely has to be one of the higher comments threads on the CRK forum page.

Again, THANK YOU ALL, My CRK Brothers & Sisters for making this thread and all others on the CRK Forum Page special to All Of US.....!!!

Oh Yes, BTW.....I used my large classic to open the mail ;)

Had to rush my dog to the emergency vet this morning due to some post ACL surgery complications. She is fine, just has some inflammation. They gave us some huge horse pills for her that needed cut in half, so I used my large classic to do just that. When I came home, the mailman brought me some goodies and I again used my large classic to open the package.

No pics. The local diner was busy tonight and when they brought me a sizzler steak, they didn't have any clean steak knives. Why wait? I used the Sebenza. THe waitress thought it was a pretty knife. I didn't say much as it was my mammoth bark small. She probably would have keeled over if I told her what it cost.

Actually I used it to put slices in a couple of hot dogs before coming them, it worked extremely well. :)

I cut the Barcode back from a beer can so I could properly shotgun it and celebrate the end of the week. uploadfromtaptalk1403912727729.jpg
