What Did You Use Your Sebenza For Today ???

Spent all afternoon in the garage with my 25 which was recently sharpened to 17 degree per side on my WE. Started the day using my Sebbie to trim a couple tenons for some mortise and tenon joints. Making a new leg for a chair that recently broke. Then I use it to cut some wax paper I used for the glue up. After getting new chair leg clamped together I switched to the lawn mower. Then I used the Sebbie to open some oil, a shark plug and an air filter to service the lawn mower. Finally I used the Sebbie to trim the excess glue off the new chair leg before sanding.

All in all a pretty typical weekend day. I think 17 degrees per side and a very refined edge (I went up to 2500 grit) is ideal for me. Now I will just strop every couple of weeks and should be very sharp for a long time.

I love opening boxes.

Come on now, you need to show us the Laco and not just the box

Stropped it with green compound as lightly as possible to get that nice mirrorish finish on it after a day of righteously dispatching boxes and cleaning under my fingernails. Also, opening envelopes and keeping my sanity. Have to appreciate that Micarta feel. I really, truly, honestly adore this blade. The only barrier to me having more is the price and lack of necessity. It's the whole package.

I just picked up a small micarta 21 today. It hasn't seen much use yet, other than cutting some fishing line. But it did stop to take a picture with an American Parasol mushroom.

I cut up an lemon to squirt on fruit, hacked at a full frozen plastic bottle of water in half to use half as ice. It actually was an Umnumzaan but essentially it is the same knife as the Sebenza. Just purchased a small regular Sebenza- can't wait for it to arrive by mail!

Awesome picture! Don't you just have when the lock lever is broke and you have to hold the trigger to pump manually :-).

Haha, thanks.

For sure, especially in the Florida heat and filling a 36 gallon tank. There are a few stations around me that don't have the lower latch piece on any of their pumps, and they happen to be the stations with fuel I prefer. (TopTierGas.com)

Ok so it was not today but I didn't have good cell reception. So this weekend I used my 25 to open 2 cans of baked beans and 2 cans of corn. I usually use another knife to beat on but decided to use my favorite knife. The edge held up really well! No chips or rolls, just dulled it a little. I am in love with this knife, and my wife knows it!

I just used my large classic cgg sebenza to open a package containing my new to me Atwood Wingnut. Sweet.....!!!

Used my Sebenzas to open these Gec's and a SAK Explorer. I didn't think I would get into traditionals but the stag GEC has definitely grown on me. The African blackwood one is also a nice knife

I used my large cgg classic to open a package containing my new Jens Anso Zirconium Carabiner that I purchased from a friend.

Both of my Sebenzas stayed in the storage container today. They got the day off. I was dressed up and went with a William Hnery B10 Lancet with a Wave Damascus blade.

Excellent!

Mine has killed more creepy crawlies than I can count..but never a scorpion.

Used my Sebenza to cut up some old shipping boxes.
