What Did You Use Your Sebenza For Today ???

In our part of Florida we have a very fast growing variety of cactus. A "leaf" of this cactus can grow from a bud to about 12" in diameter in approximately 2-3 weeks.

I used my nine year old small regular Sebbie to trim off a bunch of leaves from a cactus in our garden.

dan :)

Used my small benza to cut some dbl sided tape to post some header graphics up. Also used it at dinner to cut some plastic wrapper the frozen chicken was stuck to...:jerkit:

My benza sure loves to slice stuff...I guess its taking advantage of its edge..it tends to work in the kitchen alot.

Who put that edge on your sebenza? I sure like it!

Cut some wraping, used it as a scraper on some sticky stuff on a table. pealed an apple. Cut some tubing for my petrol pipe.

Installed a thermostatically controlled attic fan (Whew! Hottt!): Cut open packaging, removed Romex sheathing, trimmed cardboard to form air seals (to block holes that would otherwise reduce backpressure in attic), trimmed 2x4s to provide clearance. On a side note, my subsequent measurements show that in full sun, my attic is about 30F cooler due to the fan operation.

Tell us about the edge on that blade. Looks to be thinned out a bit??

To be honest...it was an accident....

I bought an edge pro and went to town on a d4 wave. I liked the results and only wanted to thin out the edge just a tad. I figured "Heck, I got great results with the d4 wave, lets go to town!" So, you can figure that my logic at 12 AM was to grab my benza and see what I could get. Keep in mind that this was the 2nd knife I had ever sharpend on the edge pro.

On went the coarse 120 grit stone set at either 15 or 18, and about 5 strokes later...I noticed how much metal I was removing, and how badly I had scrached the blade. At this point I figured "well its messed up now, might as well go through all the steps to see what I can get....:foot:" I went through 120,220,320,600 and 1000)

It slices great now. The goal was to touch up the edge at the 30 setting on the sharpmaker....and well I acomplished that goal:). So far, I've had no chipping issues and mainly cut cardboard boxes and scrape stickers off windows.

I recently bought some 7000 grit polishing tape for the edge pro, but Ive been too busy to use it. I'm wondering what kind of results we will see with it... :D

Ehh I figured that its my user. No guts no glory....:p

Plus, I figured that if it got to the point of no return, I would just buy another blade from CRK as my last ditch effort..:foot:

I was doing some plumbing work in our downstairs bathroom and I used my Sebenza to cut a couple of plastic water risers to the right length. I also opened a couple of packages. Pretty light work.

I viciously chopped about 4 of those air freshener pine trees from around the rear view mirror in my work van. (cut the elastic :D)

I also used the tip to wedge the little wheels at the bottom of my sliding screen door back on track.

Saved my new business cards from the evil box that was holding them hostage......

Used the Lg. N.I.C.A. Limited 400 to poke a vent into my large caribou coffee lid.

Also got to show it off to a fellow knife knut.

I used my seb to pose for some photos (in the image sticky), but used it on the the past 2 days hike to whittle wood for tinder, open a bag of wood.
