I know myself being a CRK "NUT", that I find every excuse possible to put out my sebenza or mnandi and use it. Even if it takes longer, just for the pure satisifaction of using it.......Your Not Alone !!!.....................
Used mine to cut some really sticky tape of my girlfriend's imac box. Damn they taped that thing up! used it to cut a few brake disk boxes open for my father. He was busy working on the car and I was keeping him company.
I used my sebenza to cut open my girlfriends box that contained her computer. Worked in the garden and cut some died branches off the trees and plants. Cut some net because its is -3* C tonight so I need to protect my mothers plants from the cold.
O yes. Yesterday I had some Eisbein at a restaurant. They brought a dull steak knife. Cut once with it.....put it down and took out my sebenza...that made the eating experience so much better. 860g of meat.....yum yum.
I was eating some pistachios and I used my (closed) large 21 to crack open the stubborn ones (no nut cracker available and I was too lazy to get up and get a hammer + I figured it would just be overkill).
I handed my Um to my daughter to open presents for her birthday, and said "it's sharp, be careful" She was, of course, but 2 adults at the table were enthralled by the CR and both of them had to test the sharpness with their thumbs, both bled, my daughter and I had a good laugh, because they were inlaws , and we kinda expected it! I used my large 21 to remove an old rotten gasket from a leaking flange on the air system of a 120kv circuit breaker. It worked great to scrape all the crud off of the flat surface to get a good seal. I was working with one of the older guys (we are both journeymen) he asked to see my knife and said how nice and solid it felt. He asked how much it cost, and upon my answering him, quickly handed my sebbie back as if he was afraid of hurting it.
We ended up talking about pocket knives while I restored the edge on his well worn and dull Old Timer(that he bought years ago for his "church knife". He couldn't believe the price. ...so I asked him how much his new driver cost, and his putter, etc. We both agreed we spent entirely too much on our hobbies(at least our wives thought so)
Turned out to be a pretty good day.
Used mine to stir my cup a coffee just before I took her apart, cleaned her up and lubed her. I cleaned some hake with her before that and made a mess of it so I felt like paying her some attention.
