Runsalone, you cant go wrong with that set up. I like it. What kind of SAK is that? Also what flash light is that?

In the Bear Grylls tradition... a MasterCard and EXXON card (If it's good enough for the Alaskan coastline, it's good enough for my tank!).

Its an alox cadet and fenix LOP CE. The little light gets switched from a photon to the fenix this time of year cause theres more chance I get home well after dark. I
I suddenly really am getting to like alox SAKs for some reason.

Actually on my person? Just a small sebenza and a LM Squirt S4. Sometimes my keys, clipped to a belt loop. Sometimes my cellphone in my left front pocket. If I'm doing work around the house, I might hang a LM Charge and one of my surefires from my belt. Other than that, everything goes in my bag (currently a maxped remora, but I think I'll be stepping up to a lunada in the near future).

You can tell I'm a geek, though. My keyring has a 8Gig USB flash drive, which contains all my most important files in an encrypted format. I was even standing in a electronics store the other day wondering if it was time for a 16Gig drive. You can never carry enough gigs around on your keyring!

My EDC blade has been a BK-11 for the past month or so. Sometimes I mix it up a bit by carrying my Izula instead. I don't think that I'm going back to EDCing folders on a regular basis anymore, with so many options in nice smallish fixed blades.

It's not about "not trusting" a folding knife, or anything along that debate. I just really, really, prefer a fixed blade for all occasions.

Im a bk11 fan myself... I changed it up today so I thought a thread revival...(i love these threads!)

Yeah somtimes I carry my Rat3 on a daily basis, but most of the time its in my day bag. Its not that I dont like carrying it for a fixed blade because its comfortable to me, its just with my SAK i have a saw. I have thought of carrying my Farmer in my pocket and my Rat on my side for EDC. I may try that. Im always changing up. I like that set up Runsalone. It makes me want to EDC my Rat.

when im not at work i dont carry much . emerson cqc8 or cqc7, surefire g2z , swedish fire steel on my key ring . wallet and ever present cell phone are a given. when i carry a handgun i usually carry a hk usp 45 compact .

Fonly, you're a man of good taste :D

I'm considering making a square leather pocket sheath that will hold both my EDC knife and a cigar + lighter. The only thing stopping me is the knowledge that, having such a sheath, I would feel compelled to keep it stocked with cigars. And that could be pricey.

All the best,

- Mike

haha, I know what you mean, Its just another habit I guess.:D

Finally got around to taking some pics.

This used to be the set-up:

But ever since I got the Farmer, it's been this:

Thinking about dropping the kubotan though. I might also start carrying my RC4 in my EDC backpack to accompany my EDC PSK.

This is my duty set-up at the moment:

Subtitutions so far:

LST for LMSurge
Butane Lighter replaced by Zippo
Brinkmann AA LED light added to the mix
Old Timer knife removed and SAK Tinker and Schrade CLipHanger in the pockets

Off-duty to come when I find some more batteries for the f#@#ing digital camera.

I have an Altoid tin with lots of goodies - in my car. I need a 'bug out bag' there, too. I have one at the ready - in my bedroom. It has copies of all of our important documents, etc. Below is what was in my cargo pants pockets today, starting at the upper right for right front pocket and going CW - a S&W 296 5-shot .44 S&W Special & pocket holster; my wallet with the Bear Grylls inspired MC and gas card - and pistol & driver's licenses (Never much money...); my big knife-de-jour - a Kershaw Composite Blade JYDII lately; and, my house & jeep key, small knife (Spydie Native), not much change, and a Surefire E1B Backup clipped to the pocket edge round out at my left front. My shirt pocket usually has a cell phone and some dollar store reading glasses. Not very prepared... I need to work on that. Tighter pants dictate a S&W 642 - smaller sibling - in .38 S&W Special.
