I see a lot of you posting your EDC carry items. What I want to know is what do you always have on you (except while sleeping :D) Do you always have your "bag of goodies" with you? Even while in town or at work? I`ve been getting by with the following.

In my pockets:
large bandana
Victorinox Soldier
lighter
On keyring:
Vic Classic
4 way screwdriver
capsule with aspirin
capsule with Aleve
capsule with eyeglass repair kit
In wallet:
needle and thread
bandaids
butterfly bandaids
gauze pad
3' duct tape
I.D.

In Pockets: Medium folder (2.5-3.5 inch blade)
Wallet with 3 different band-aids, strike anywhere matches in packet, Swiss Card, Card sized mirror, money, various other cards
Cell Phone
Lighter

Wrists
Watch
Paracord Bracelet

Carabiner in back pocket attatched to belt loop:
Mini flshlight
Victorinox Cadet
Keys

Thats pretty much it, but it depends on what I'm doing that day. Usually have most of that stuff though.

I'll be honest - the list of items that I always carry is pretty small.

  • EDC knife - small fixed-blade scandi in a leather sheath
  • JK wharnie tin knife in my wallet, next to a thin ferro-rod
  • Leatherman Monarch 300 LED flashlight (new addition to my EDC kit!)

That's about it! I also keep a small PSK camera case attached to my satchel when I'm at work, but these items are always on my person.

All the best,

- Mike

Well... yeah, but the list is annoyingly long. I have a go kit/BOB/GHB whatever you want to call it always within arms reach. If you REALLY want the contents click here

My EDC knife is a Sebenza and in my other front pocket is a Surefire light with spare battery. I keep a few bandaids, butterfly closures, and a BC powder in my wallet.

I always have my wallet, watch, eyeglasses, wedding ring, small Sebenza, and my keyring on my person. My keyring has a Vic Mini-champ, photon light, peanut lighter, 8GB USB flash drive and a Spyderco Ladybug on it, plus keys. I usually have a couple of pens on me as well.

My Glock, Bravo-1 and survival kit are in my Maxpedition bag, which I carry to and from work every day.

always in my pockets is:

I don't take much. I always have: EDC folder, backup folder, mini-PSK, lighter, penlight, money, and wallet. On my keyring I also have a firesteel, and a photon light.

I just dumped my pockets and took this picture:

Right Front:

* Case pocket knife
* Zippo
* Binder clip/Money clip with Id, medical card, CC, money, business cards, etc.

Right Rear:

* Keys clipped to my belt loop, and hanging off of 2' braided into 2" of 550 cord into my pocket.
******ON key ring: 2' of 550 cord, carabiner, handleless firesteel, can opener, Nitro pill fob w/ half a PJCB, and of course keys.

Left Rear:

* Handkerchief

Left Front:

* Cell phone
* Pen

I always wear a belt, and almost always have a leatherman Wave on my belt.
* Leatherman has a handled firesteel, and fatwood in the sheath.

And sunglasses on my head ALWAYS here in California. In fact, I have the same exact sunglasses and phone as EMT Lee, LOL.

I've also been wanting to get a flashlight, but haven't been able to convince the wife to let me spend that much, and I don't know were I would carry it...

Don`t get me wrong, I always have my "bag" in whatever vehicle I`m driving, with a much more extensive kit. I`ve also been known to keep a handgun in my trunk, plus one on each level of the house, and one in my shop. I`m not a "minimilist", just wondering what you all have. Great replies so far!

This is what I always have on my person:

glasses
multitool: Vic Spirit or LM Juice
folder or small FB (frequently)
keys
Swisstech Utili-key
LED light
wallet
watch
2.5"X4.5" notebook and pen
book of matches (tucked in back of notebook)

Is that the SOG mini tool on your keychain? I love that little thing, but mine has it's home on my fishing vest. One of the best little companions for fishing I have ever used.

On my keychain:

Leatherman Micra
Fenix E01
County Comm Mini Prybar
BSA Ferro Rod

Plus the knife & light combo of the day in my pockets. :)

Here is the latest pic, though the Strider has been supplanted by a Military.
