What Do You Always Carry?

bark river mini-canadian
gerber multi-tool
bsa hot spark
bandaids
safety pin
lip balm
finger nail clippers
pen and paper
l.e.d. light
ear plugs
wallet

What I want to know is what do you always have on you (except while sleeping :D) .

Since I don't wear a suit at work, and I wear cargo shorts or pants..

This always...

Since the guys and I are always getting cuts,slivers,etc.. having my own first aid stuff is a big plus.

Our work First Aid kits run out fast, and are not always resupplied quickly.

Though I don't find myself using the fire kit, whistle, twine, oven bag/purification tablets, fishooks and split shot at all I still carry them.

And yes John...those are two of your knives.:D

Well ALWAYS is a big word.

Leatherman XE6
Knife*
Maratac AAA,
CS Pocket Shark,
Phone,
Wallet,
lighter,
4" widgy bar (at least until i lost it :( )
bandanna

*Knife is variously: Subclaw, Minimalist, Izula, Paraframe

Now that's sorta my optimal EDC out and about, wearing a pair of cargo pants...
Some places though I don't or can't carry all that.

Probably the only thing that goes EVERYWERE is the keychain. Which has a kobutan, light and pill vial on it. And the wallet which has a few bandaids and such in it.

Key Chain:
-fire steel
-compass
-whistle
-AAA LED light
-and keys on 3 ft of paracord

Elsewhere in pockets:
-SAK locking blade model (can't remember which)
-Fenix LED (lithium, more powerful than one on keychain)
-Bic lighter
-comb
-Blackberry
-Reading glasses

Wallet:
-benedryl strip (for under tongue use)
-fresnel magnifier
-money, credit cards, hunting license, etc.

For casual wear it gets stepped up with:
-Busse game warden
-Victorinox multitool

Rolex Datejust on wrist

I don`t wear a suit either :D My "commute" to work is about 20 feet, so I`m always near a complete first aid kit (one in the house, one in my "leather room" in the basement, and one in the shop.) I was the safety manager (when I had a job) among other things, so I know the importance of keeping a first aid kit stocked. One thing I noticed is that not too many of you mention a watch. You must be like me, and not give a damn what time it is! I should mention that when I`m alone in the shop or out alone, I do carry a cell phone. Most times I rely on my wife or one of my daughters for a phone. BTW - Nice knives :D

I don't want to hear anymore crap from you guys about how much my woods knives weigh, when you're toting around a friggin 3 pound Crackberry everyday! LOL

There is no "always", but what I usually have day-to-day:

Keys
Wallet
Pocket watch
Mini Mag Lite
Gerber 600 Prosport Multitool
SOG Aegis
Glock 21
Spare mag

- Bandanna
- Leatherman micra
- Photon microlight
- BSA HotSpark
- Folding knife (Trekker during the day, Imperial Wildcat Skinner at night).

I wear an FB pretty much all the time at home (inside and outside)...

Well, here we go:

Keychain:
Photon clone
mini-firesteel
EDC-Depot mini-capsule with Tinder-Quik in it
SAK Rambler
Sears 4-way screwdriver
keys

Front right:
keys
Case Medium Stockman or SAK Blue Alox Farmer
Space Pen

Front Left:
Small Rite in the Rain notebook
2 GB jump drive

Right Rear:
Orange Bandanna

Left Rear:
Wallet with Brunton Emergency Survival Kit and some Anti-biotic Band-aids

Right Tool Pocket (Carhartts):
Bark River Little Creek
Sharpie

Left Tool Pocket:
Surefire G2 LED

Belt:
Leatherman Supertool
mini-Bic lighter in sheath also

Citizen Eco-Drive Titanium watch on wrist

Tilley or Auburn University hat

Now if I could just remember to put some paracord somewhere I'd feel a whole lot better!

Billy

Always, well what I ALWAYS have on me :

- Wrist Watch (Citizen Nighthawk or Skyhawk)
- A Knife (RAT Izula or DPx HEST)
- A Flashlight (Streamlight Stylus Pro or Maglite LED 2xAA)
- A Pen (fisher space pen)

Yep that is always with me (except when passing Airport Security)

Like was already said "Always" is a big word:D but for the most part -
Left Front - ZT 0350 PE / VIC. SAK Soldier
right Front - Keys w/ led keychain light & eyeglass tool & eyedrops / Mini Reeder fixedblade
left rear wallet w/ bandaids & small diamond stone
right rear (sometimes) - Izula or BK11
Ball Cap on my head & Oakley StraightJackets on my eyes (when I wear my contacts)
Casio G-Shock on my left wrist
Glock 9mm (G19) inside wastband ( depends on the location )

Cell phone (basic Sanyo)
Watch (Fossil)
Keychain with:
-Keys
-Fenix E01
-Mini Mag Bar
-Peanut Lighter
-Vic Classic
-Little prybar
-little biner

If I'm wearing Jeans, a zippo always goes in the small right front pocket, even though I don't smoke. And if I'm outside for the day, I'm usually wearing shades. Sometimes I'll go with my heavy ZT0200 if I feel like carrying a beastly folder.

Okay, don't make fun, I know that I carry entirly too much stuff:

regular wallet stuff
Frensel Lense
Lock picks

-back right

SAK Classic
Spyderco Native
Bic Lighter
Leatherman Supertool
Cell Phone
Surefire 6P
Leatherman Micra
Paracord Bracelet

I do work in an office and so

Cell phone
Spyderco lady bug VG10- all I need for 99% of the time, light, very small, sharp and not agressive.
cash and a credit eftpos card

Keys with swiss key (never used) and photon freedom (fantastic)

But I have near me in the office, brif case or the car kits with basics - lighter, bandaids, safety pins, cord, bigger torches pain killers, multi tool etc

But also a crepe bandage, triangular bandage and neaby some ventolin (for my child and anyone else) - surprisingly I have not found bandanna's easily available !

My emergency kit is also designed to give first aid in case of accidents - to me I think it is something others might think about. Direct dissolve asprin can reduce the damage from heart attack - here paramedics might advise you to offer it to somone having an heart attack while the ambulance is on the way.

In addition to the Spyderco EDC list in my signature I have the following

Leather belt that can be used as a strop
Belt - Leatherman Wave (PE and SE)
FRP - Leatherman Squirt P4 (PE)
Belt Left side front - Cutco 3 tool keychain knife (PE and SE and scissors)
FLP - Bark River Knife and Tool Micro Canadian (PE)
FLP - Spyderco Dragonfly Lwt SE in pocket
FRP Keychain - Spyderco Bug - recently added to one keychain
FLP - Two sided diamond sharpener tucked between my bifold wallet
FLP - Bifold Rayskin wallet
FLP - Surefire G2 OD Green with upgraded bulb
Left Wrist - LL Bean Ti field watch
Left Ring Finger - Wedding band
FLP - Clicky style Ink pen (JetStream)
FLP - Cell phone

I also have a small pack that I carry with me when I leave the property that has more goodies. And yes, I only buy pants with deep pockets.
