I see a lot of you posting your EDC carry items. What I want to know is what do you always have on you (except while sleeping :D) Do you always have your "bag of goodies" with you? Even while in town or at work?.....

I've found a knife to be the single most useful tool to carry, day after day after day. I have my Manix on me every day when in casual clothes, my Mini-Manix in my waistband when I go to church, and a Byrd Robin G10 in my PJ pocket at night.

The few times I haven't had one of these, I've ended up needing one. Daddy ALWAYS has a knife on him, and it's needed quite often.

The second most useful tool (other than my cell phone with GPS and camera/video recorder) is my Jetbeam Jet II I.B.S. Having a small, powerful flashlight in my pocket has been useful many, many times. It's surprising how many times during the day I've needed to look up a pipe, or under a counter, and been really glad to have a light. When night comes, it's really nice to have a powerful flood/spot light ready when I need it.

When heading out of the house, my day pack with first aid kit, water, purification tabs, fire starting equipment, large knife, saw, etc, etc goes with me. The items in it are seldom needed, but when they are it's very important to have along.
