What Do You Do For A Living?

I thought I had posted in here but just realized I never did. I am a supervisor for armed security in Las Vegas, I am also one of my companies equipment and driving instructors.

Good answer!

I drove off highway log trucks for a while with old growth douglas-fir and redwood....

Put me on the list as an office dweller. I am a self insurance program manager, mostly for hospitals and municipalities. My knives do get to go out and play on the weekends, but during the week they mostly are confined to lunch duty.

US Ranger, USDA USFS R5 SRF MRRD...trained as forester and wildlife biologist first.

That is awesome.

I was considering going into a similar field but had some other obligations present themselves. Still may go back and finish up.

With nearly 20,000 of my acres of forest currently on fire it looses a little luster.

I work at a large chemical company. Been there 17 years and have been a chemical reactor operator for the last 13.

Rather to be a chemical reactor than a chemical reaction :D

Me? I design and build furniture and cabinetry. Wear lots of other hats in the building trades too (started out as a boatbuilder and was a building contractor for a stint) but mostly I'm a happy woodworker.

Have seen a few adverse reactions in the reactor over the years. Most are not pretty but all are pretty exciting. Luckily nobody has been injured. Once seen an entire batch turn solid in the vessel! That was fun to clean out!

Don't think I did this one...

I manage the Technology design team of an MEP Engineering firm, designing structured cabling, security and audiovisual systems mainly for corporate interiors projects. For the past two years, the "team" consisted of me. We were awarded several very large projects along with some medium sized ones over a period of just a few months. I was "slammed", working 12-14 hours a day (which was why I had to back out of the BOG admin duties). I was finally allowed to hire two people, so we are now an actual team.

Things have leveled off to a workable kind of busy which is starting to allow me time to breathe again!
