What do you do when you agree to buy knife and it's sold to another?

You got lucky. If this is the kind of confusion surrounding him before you sent money,
how would you feel once you paid him, -- and still couldn't get an answer to an email?

People like this -- whether malicious or just incompetent -- are not worth dealing with.
Let him grow up and learn how we do business here on someone else's dime.

I had the exact same thing happen to me just a while ago,but it was for a trade.

We made a 100% deal that was fair as fair could be. He was out of town for work,so I had to wait a week for him to get back home to ship.

I even pulled the knife he wanted out of the forsale thread it was in.

Then when this guy finally gets home from work.

He bold faced lies to me saying his "wife" wouldn't let him trade me.

Then I come to find out that he Traded the knife his wife said he couldn't on another forum.

After we agreed 100% on a deal, after I pulled my knife from the sale thread it was in, and after I waited the week for him to get home.

So I called him out on it, and he's like "well lets do another deal for another knife"...I was like Ya right buddy get bent!

I wont drop his name here, but if you wanna know who he is so you'll know to steer clear of him, just shoot me an email and I'd be happy to help you out.

I don't know whats wrong with people these days. But back in the day a deal was a deal, especially when you gave your word that it is.

When a man gives you his word, his word should be bond!

because In the end all a man really has is his word.

You should start a new thread with the name of the buyer displayed so that he is aware and has a chance to defend himself.

I had a very similar experience with a seller, where we had been communicating for a day or two and were about to exchange shipping info. When out of the blue I get a message from him that another buyer had posted they'd take it before me.Gratefully I sent a message thanking him for his time and understanding that mistakes do happen. Later the same day,I'm surprised to get a message from the seller that he had ment to send that message to another buyer and that I was indeed the first person to post that I would take it.The rest was history after that.I do understand that some sellers regularly have several forsale posts on several forums and sometimes they are hard to keep track.

In the case of the OP,it seems the seller lacks integrity or principles.Just forget about it and don't I let this bother you.
