What do you drive?

You guys wouldn't believe the beater I drive to school, I don't even think I have a picture of it.

My pride and joy ... 1977/78 Dodge Tradesman 200 with an all-oak sailboat interior build-out. Complete with surf board racks and more space for camp gear, food, water and other provisions than you can shake a stick at. Ready for surf or snow.

AWESOME build out brother! likin' this a lot!

You sold the 'Vette?!? AARGH! I've got the white C5 in Post #314 above. Coincidentally, I had a jeep many years ago. I bought a brand new CJ7 in 1978. This is when AMC owned the Jeep brand, and let me tell you, it was a piece of carp. I put 150k miles on it, but not before having replaced the engine once and the transmission twice. I lost track of how many clutches I put in. Anyway, your C5, what, is that about a '99?

It was a 98 , I still have the 84 C4.
I needed the Jeep as a winter car and I figured I could get another vette in a few years.

I've considered getting an older one, but it would probably be a late 60's early 70's, nothing really rare.
Either that or wait for the C7's.

Well, they say never get the first few years of any model because they're usually the buggiest. I would not buy a '68 or '69 C3, but I'd like to have maybe a '70 or '71. Still has both chrome bumpers but before all the smog carp. A pristine early C3 would probably cost about the same as a new C7.
.

Here is the nicer car that my girlfriend and I drive. I also have a beater, but I follow the Chilton's (or is it Haynes) maintenance plan and do things like replace the alternator with the battery every few years. Also all the tuneup stuff, so it runs great with AC and everything.

anyone drive a Porsche Boxster - I sold my vette & I'm in the market for a Boxster? BMW Z3 or Miata - I have owned 2 Miata's & they are a hell of a great car - Not going to buy new but I'm very picky about mileage & condition - Any help on the Boxster? - I did find one with 60K on it - near mint for 9k - a 2006 Miata with 53K for $13K mint and a very nice 2004 Z3 with 54K on it for $13,500
