What do you guy wear as far as sun glasses?

I wear glasses anyway, so for driving and outdoors stuff I wear prescription sunglasses with polarized lenses.

Overpriced, well sure. But Ray Ban, etc are equally overpriced. If you know anyone who works for the gov't (state or fed) or is in the military you can get certain Oakley's 50% off.

My roommate worked at a sunglass hut for a while, It took me a while to choose a pair of sunglasses, but out of all the sunglasses in the store he had ray-bans...... they are def nice, the wayfarer, not so much.

Perhaps, but nothing comes close to the markup on Oakley's.

Certain Oakleys have a mil discount, via their mil website (usstandardissue.com), but the selections are very limited. If you're looking for something other than a matte black frame with black or dull orange-yellow lenses, they won't have it.

don't pay just for a brand name. they're all made in the same chinese factory. so whats the diff? do you wear them for work/eye protection? or fashion/coolness?
if they invent ones that REALLY don't fog up i'd probably buy a pair.

Anybody here own a pair of Maui Jim Maui Cat IIIs? I need some good polarized glasses and these look great, just never owned anything from Maui Jim. Any experience?

Hey Handwrecker, I'm not familiar with that particular model but I have owned a pair of MJs for a little over a year and really like them. They've replaced all my other shades, including my Oakleys, as my EDC shades.
If you can access their Facebook page just read some of the customer reviews and company posts (search for "Maui Jim") and you'll get an idea of what they're like. I've heard on several occasions about where MJ owners have either totally destroyed, or severely damaged their MJs and paid less than $70 and had them replaced or repaired like brand new. They regularly respond to their customer requests on Facebook so I imagine their overall Customer Service is just as good. I believe their products carry a lifetime warranty.
