1 Octagonal chrome sai, well within reach. The Sai is an AWESOME weapon.

Cold Steel Sjambok.

Blackhawk Gladius

If someone breaks in, after the 150db alarm goes off, I don't want to be any more deaf than I will be at that point.....I want gross motor skills required, not fine motor skills.

If it is a horde of zombies, I will hopefully have time to get into the safe.

Best Regards,

Steven Garsson

He is beautiful, I lost my 10 yoa male this fall, he was always right by my side. I miss him so much, never had children but he could be very child-like with my wife and I. Smartest breed I have ever been associated with. Take good care of his and he will always be there for you also.

I don't trust my self sleeping near stabby or bangy things, so I've just got a bat and a book.

My nightstand's going to be a lot more organized with the valet/charging tray my GF got me for Christmas. And it needs it!

I have 3 of my EDC's on the bedside table to choose from in the morning--which usually means sticking one in my pocket, and the other two in my Maxpedition bag. The bag sits at the bedside with a bunch of my junk in it.

On the nightstand:
A bottle or two of water
Cellphone
Paperback of the week
Chapstick
Wallet
Car key

Under the nightstand I have an iHome alarm clock with my iPod plugged into it, a fixed Griptilian, Ka-Bar Impact Tanto, and a couple others. The knives are mostly just being stored there until I can figure out where else to put them.

Some people do like to read. That's about all that's next to my bed.

Some have mentioned having a large hard cover book by the bed side and mention that it is NOT for reading... I assume they have it for other than reading.... What is the reason?

Quick blunt impact weapon? Don't know how well it would work though.....

I don't have any pics, since I'm staying at a friends house for a few days. But I normally have my EDC stuff on the dresser. This includes: Cold Steel Voyager, 5.11 Journeyman, Benchmade Apparition (AO version), either my Mini Mag or Surfire flashlight, Cold Steel Master Hunter (if it's the weekend), cell phone, water, medications, and random junk from my pockets. In a small hidden compartment I keep a Beretta Jaguar .22 pistol with two mags and a box of ammo.

Why a book? So you can "throw the book at em."
