Unfortunately, I'm in Canada, eh. So my bedside "WTF was that?" gear is limited to cell phone, baseball bat, and a 3D MagLED. I'm trying to convince my wife that I need to bolt a small touch-pad pistol safe to the floor under the headboard so that I can have something "stronger" handy, :thumbup: probably my .45 USP Tactical with Meprolights, and a light is on the to-be-acquired list. I'd like to leave one of my 870s in a handy location, but we have a toddler, so secured storage is a must.
 
I live in Canada as well and in a crappy neighborhood(we do have those)so I have the redneck version of 5.56's touchpad setup. It is simply a lockbox with a topbreak S&W
which even locked you cannot leave loaded so I have a speedloader beside it. I also have several books ,a Fenix TK10 a tomahawk and an antique blown glass waterbong.

No puppies yet but this site makes me want one badly. Probably a German Shepard but the rotties look adorable.

I love the whiskers on the big boy. Sometimes he droops them and they look like a San Quentin handlebar mustache.
 
Hmm, lets see. Below is what is within 1 foot of my bed...
2 Bayonets,
2 Nunchuks,
3 Penknives,
2 Baseball Bats,
An Axe,
2 Clubs,
Air Rifle,
Samurai Sword
Of course, i would never use any of these items, if anyone was there i would just put on my steel capped boots and beat the life out of them

I keep a bottle of water and a flashlight beside the bed and a book on the nightstand. If I put too much on the nightstand, the cat bats it off either into the floor, or onto the bed. Once she batted a two D Maglite off the nightstand and onto my girlfriend's head... that woke her up rather quickly. So it's probably best that I don't put a knife on the nightstand.
 
with extra mag. Its locked in a hand safe concealed and bolted to the wall with biometric opening - very fast to open even in total darkness. Need the safe as we have a 2 1/2 year old toddler.

Which poster has a "machine gun"? I see a couple handguns, carbines, and a shotgun, but no machine gun.:confused:
