What do you REALLY carry every day?

Here's my pocket-n-belt dump from last Friday. Yes I live and work one mile from home in a quiet burb. [emoji12].

Some of my extended family think I'm delusionaly convinced that I live in a war zone. But I think I just never grew out of Boy Scouts. I could carry more crap on my body, but even more crap lands in my car and bike saddle bag.

My own family however have benefitted at many times because of that "extra" little tool in pocket or belt. They no longer say anything, and just glad I take the burden to carry them so they don't have to, or go without.

It's crazy how many times a month I/we use that cute little Toucan, Leatherman Squirt, and flashlight. Let alone the knives....at least one of them get used multiple times per day, between home, office, home yard, office grounds, or helping out in the warehouse. As the manager of a small office, I'm the one that gets called on to do anything that everyone else think is below them. (Yeah, yeah, I know, should be the other way around).

Oh, and that tiny thumb drive, just 64GB, but is smaller than my pinky fingernail. I had to make the silly leather pouch just to keep it from getting lost in my pocket. Just thinking now, I really should toss a micro SD in there too for options.

The little half inch Maratac pill lighter was added just recently. I haven't "used" it yet, but have played with it some. I have not had much luck getting it lit. Not sure why. I can feel the fluid on fuse, and get good spark, they just don't land for some reason. It takes a lot of flicking to get a spark to take hold. Not quite as easy as a zippo, but the pocket real estate difference is pretty extreme. Think I'm going to get the 1" model to see if a touch more fluid makes the difference. This one only carries a half teaspoon or less.

Charlie Mike,

Keeping a little precious metal on hand is a great idea. I don't have any wafers like I see in your pic. But now thinking about it, I do have a tube of dime sized 1/10th oz coins. Wonder if I lay them out to about the size of a credit card, then solder them at each contact point. Possibly carry in wallet like cc, and just snap them off one at a time if needed.

I know silver is not worth a ton right now, but it does capture interest when you say something like, "but it's .999 Pure Fine Silver." [emoji23]. Right now the spot price for a dime sized coin is only about $1.60 each (wholesale) but someone would pay at least twice that (or more) to buy in small quantity or retail.

Sorry about my ignorance, but I always wonder: What are those keys (like the one below your blue/red keys) for? The ones with the circle at the tip, I don't know what do they open but never got to ask.
Nice EDC, BTW.

Thanks for your answer!

That one is for my night lock box for my carry gun. The electronics went bad for the keypad, so have to use the key override right now. Will be replacing it soon.

My bike-lock key looks like that, too.

The premiums on the little guys are high! I used to carry a '13 ASE (eagle) around with me, but that didn't last more than about a week, lol. I hate carrying extra crap around if I can help it! You could always try to balance the premiums by buying some larger generic bars. 10oz bars don't carry much premium in comparison. Otherwise, if you can find some junk silver, I believe it's a little cheaper than private mint fractionals. Haven't bought junk in a while, so I'm not sure how it's moving right now.
