What do you think of this Peace Maker knife

OK, I know everyone else is dying to ask but are afraid to,...
how'd you get the coffe maker in there??

Bryan,

What is your feeling of the difference in knife balance between your 5/32 and 1/8" thickness versions of this knife. Are they similar?

Hi all
Jeff as to getting the coffee maker in the pic I would like to say I am just a great piture taker but I am just really bad picture taker LOL

Bear yea there is some changes I think it has made them better. LOL well I think it has anyways LOL

kgd I have been carrying both and using both for the last couple of days and cutting braches for clearing trails and cutting bagels and spreading butter on bread and cutting tomatos I can only say that the 5/32" is just a little heavyer every thing is so slight in the difference that I as of now really can not say which I like better. Just maybe the 1/8" thickness is better for the alround using thickness from camp to kitchen though.
I am really happy with the 6" blade length so far and can hardly wait to
make one with a 5" blade length just to try them both out ,I will make the 5" in 1/8" thickness thought just because it such a great thickness not to thin and not to thick for me it is just right. I will be putting the osage handle on the 5" one I really like the feel of it for just doing every thing. that I have used it for so far. But for survival purposes I will still take my Orange handle one and keep it on my belt for just that purpose because if set down or dropped it really shows better. I tossed both Peace makers into some tall weeds and the orange really stood out over the yellowish osage wood handle.

hope this helps ya Ken,

Bryan

I meant how did you get in that pouch.:)
OK, I blew that one. I was trying to capitalize on the "pink purse incident."

I like kits/contents though. I have been carrying a Fiskars "plastic" hand-trowel but have wanted to try the "U-dig-it" but wasn't sure how well it worked. Are you happy with it?

Regarding the 1/8" v. 5/32" question - my 5" Pathfinder was 5/32" (per Bryan's recommendation) and I liked it a lot. It was a bit more "beef" than the 1/8" but 3/16" would have been too much. I was weighing (figuratively) options between 3/16" and 1/8" and Bryan gave me the obvious solution - go with what's in between - 5/32", and it was a good decision.
