What does the knife you EDC say about you

That actually is a running joke, my friend likes to carry a 2in auto BM, he always says "it proves I am not compensating for anything".

I like to think the knives I carry which generally are a:

A Sheffield folder which is cheap, but durable, and it is kinda artsy. Shows like a tactical knife, with a laid back look.

Occasionally a balisong depending on where I am, shows I like a good variety in my knives, and has the patience to learn a whole new skill set.

I EDC some others, and I also agree with the mood ring analogy.

i'm a grey-colored middle-aged man with a hole in my head. other than that, i'm a rather delicate person. sharp but delicate.

My Chokwe Says I Appreciate Art And Individuality, As Well As Good Craftsmanship. That I'm A Different Girl Than Most.

Mine says that I believe cutting to be far superior method for opening things as opposed to tearing / ripping....that I like to be prepared.....and apparently "borrow me" / "can you open this for me"

It says I have very, very good friends. (It was a gift.)

Victorinox Tinker: "I'm a practical guy."
Paramilitary 2 in s30v, black G-10: "I need to cut stuff my Tinker can't manage."
Victorinox Super Tinker: "I might want bigger scissors today and am willing to carry this thick lump in case the need arises."
Victorinox Classic on keys: "Always prepared."
Paramilitary 2 in M390 with brilliant blue scales: "I'm a steel junky and proud of it!"

I guess it would depend on who ya asked, if ya asked someone who knew me well would say I like to have the right tool on hand to do the right job and I believe that ya get what ya pay for but ya can also find a good deal if ya look for one.

If ya asked someone who was only an acquaintance, they would say I was a snob.

Someone in W&C might call me stupid, someone in the Traditional forums might say I like old knives.

But they would all hafta agree, I really like knives. :)

My EDC is a CRKT M16-14T. Bought it at the beginning of my second tour in Iraq in about October of '05. Carried it the whole time I was over there, and ended up falling in love with it just because I carried it so much. In the past several years (since I've been off of active duty), I have tried carrying a few others, but just can bring myself to do so for more than a few days because I end up feeling guilty like I'm cheating on it or something. Is that wierd? Not the greatest folder in the world but it holds a decent edge as long as you know how to properly treat a lady....er...uh...KNIFE! Yeah, knife....
So I guess my EDC says I'm haning on to the good ole days when I was still tough and looking for trouble!
