What does the knife you EDC say about you

My Endura says that I didn't want to bring any of my nice knives to this part of the world.

The fact that I consider a $60 knife cheap and disposable says that, a) I've got way too many other knives and b) most people who aren't on this forum think I'm nuts.

Mine say I like variety and spend way too much money on knives. I hardly ever carry the smae knife for more than 1 week straight.

Looks like a Reese Weiland Busse folder. Very cool.

Leatherman Skeletool - I'm on campus.
Strider SMF - I'm off campus.
SAK Classic - Oh good, I didn't forget my keys.

0560 with a green/black G10 scalloped scale and a flamed ti hinderer lanyard.

I like to believe it says I really appreciate a good knife but I feel especially with the people I work with it screams "my knife is better than yours". I do everything I can to not generate that vibe and even offer to fix, sharpen, slightly modify knives for coworkers only 2 have taken me up outside of friends.

Of my Keith Johnson lannys clip that rides on my belt every day,

To non knife people: That fella there carries a knife.

To knife people: That fella there carries a knife, but it's a nice one and it looks like it gets used a lot.

Recently I've been EDC'ing my newly acquired Becker BK7 :D (and loving it), and switching between my Benchmade 551 and my Spydie Endura 4 in my back pocket with a Leatherman Squirt/Small SAK on my keychain.

I really don't know what this says about me  I choose my EDC based on what knife I want to fondle if I get bored.

Nothing, because knives don't talk. I don't usually pull my knives out in front of coworkers, or draw undue attention to myself. Nothing to see here, move along.

Yes he is.

Or the parents, grounding is imminent. ;)

What he said.
1) knives don't talk.
2) Most folks don't know I have a pocket knife in my pocket.
3) I don't carry a knife to make a statement. I carry it because it is a handy tool to have with me.

It says that, although I may indeed also be glad to see you, that is just a Military in my pocket.

:D

True, but I think we all buy knives that make a statement about our personal tastes in one way or another. Otherwise we would only need a few knives each, and they would be utilitarian in every sense of the word.

And that is not a world I want to live in ;)

I think that my Spyderco Paramilitary 2 says that I prefer quality knives and that perhaps I'm a steel snob...

Ah, that I'm excessive, materialistic, and a fool for marketing hype and advertising?...yeah, I think that about says it.

Hrm. Mine says I like classy cutlery? I was carrying my Military AND my Swayback Jack at work for awhile, trying to use the little one for everything, the Millie was for lunch and "just in case". But my SBJ must've slipped out in a customer's seat the other day, nobody has been back to return it yet, probably gone for good :( So now it's just the Millie.
