It's a homage to one of the greatest avant garde rock bands ever, the mighty DEVO. He was one of the crazy characters they created along with the likes of General Boy. Also, I'm Scottish and Scots are often called jocks, so it could read 'Scotsman' in mutant pig latin. Some people do seem to get the wrong idea though...:D
 
"Pilgrim" (memories of John Wayne) was taken. The name "hanover" recalls some good times and some interesting times. Went to school in Hanover, New Hampshire a long, long time ago. Also, it was the name of my small company, staff of two, that went bankrupt.

When I was a teenager, I was told that I looked like the character Hondo from Romper Stomper. It just sorta stuck. I've been using it as an online handle for a long time now. Maybe I should change it to Papa Bear or something. After all, I am a dad now...:p
 
Well, I'm a pagan ( no, not a wiccan) and I'm into ancient Greek paganism. My favorite deity is the Greek god of fertility commonly known as 'Green Man' but also known under other names throughout history. And, green is my favorite color so couldn't have it any other way.

It`s the old nickname our Mission President gave to the missionaries I served with in Northern Japan 15 or so years ago. Most Mormons are familiar with a scripture about how willing people arte to turn thier backs on the truth. It says "Many are called, but few are chosen." Since our mission averaged 8meters of snow a year (And on a clear day you CAN see Siberia from here), we used to joke that "Many are cold, but few are frozen.":jerkit:
Besides, "CustomshopDave" just seemed over the top.

Part my initials and part the company I used to work at. Because it started with one I was given and morphed slowly as I went along and lost any ability to remember who I was in too many places. This is the first forum I've paid any real attention to so I may actually buck up the $10 to change it to Walking Dog or something.
 
Mine is the email addy I have used for the past 10-11 years or so... Autococker is the first sucessful semiautomatic paintball gun, 07 was my jersey number when I was lucky enough to play on sponsered team. Hence... Autococker07.... I have also been known from 83-93 as Cypher and from 93-95ish as Patch, although only in the regional BBS world :D
 
Because I ride a Bigdog Motorcycle and I am a little overweight. A friend took a picture of me and my scooter and named it "2 Bigdogs." The nickname stuck. I used to ride a Fatboy. I'd answer to that name, too.
