What does your forum handle mean?

As a high school kid in the mid 90s there was a local band called "Gravelface". They were without a doubt the WORST band in exsitance. My friends and I would go to every show just to heckle and make fun of them. People thought we actually liked them and everywhere Gravelface was I was sure to follow. So even long after the bands unfortunate demise, I was still stuck with them name, so as an honor to the worst band ever I vowed to be an constant reminder to everyone around here.

That's good to hear Gravelface, I thought your name had to do with the schrapnel and purple heart in your avatar.

As for my name, I though it might make for a good "Hog" name when I make it out to the Blade show next summer.

It's a botched Japanese version of my name. If I'm correct, my name in Japanese should be Nikorausu but the spelling's different than usual so when I put it in to the net translater, it came back with this and I just ran with it.

Mine is just my way of being cute with wordplay--on the one hand saying something that is maybe knife-related, but on the other hand maybe saying something about my sanity.:D

How could anyone give themselves a handle that could possibly cause someone concern about their sanity?:D ;)

I am glad you posted this. I've been wondering if you were a "looker" such as myself;) , I had chicken pox in my late teens, and your handle would fit adequately.:D So, I'm glad you enlightened us to your taste in music, whatta fanboy.;) :D

My name is Samo, Samek is a form of that name used for children. And so they call me - I have 100 kg, 190 cm and 48 years :)

Here's mine from my first thread post...

"OK… 1st let me introduce myself… Lil’ Foo… Foo for short. You know, like…
little bunny foo foo hoppin’ thru the forest, pickin’ up the field mice and
BOPPIN’EM on the head! Yeah… I’m a guy… but I think its frigggggin’
funny! I've had it for several years now... Guess it came about from
the little demented moments that seem to pop out of my brain. :D :D :D LOL
Even my gf calls me Foo. Anyway… always had the love of a good blade,
but new to the world of INFI and Busse… but I can already feel the piglet
blood coursing thru my veins...."

So that's it... when I upgrade and can have an avatar, assuming they'll let me put it up :D ,
involves a chicken... a bunny... and says "Bad Bunny... BAAAAADDDD BUNNY!!! :D :D

I signed up w/ my "real" name. Then when I thought about using a handle I already had a high post count and thought it would throw people off. Especially on the "Exchange".

But the one I use (ie. on SR Rat Chat) is "Dark Norseman. The "Norseman" part is for my ethnic background. I grew up, and still work and live in, a 99% Latino community. I was always just the "White Guy". Which is not a problem and was never used disrespectfully. But around 17 or 18 years of age I wanted to know what kind of "White Guy" I was. What was "MY" ethnicity. As I delved back into the depths of my family I discovered that much of my family originated from Scandinavia. All parts. And so that was what I have identified with ever since.

The "Dark" part. Well if you have seen pics of me here you know it's not because of my dark tan. :D but rather just more reflective of my personality and interests. I mean, come on, I live and breath knives like you guys. ;)

That's about it.

Great thread!

Here is my story… my handle is a concoction of my last name and my almamater’s mascot. Mozingo and The University of Florida Gators.

I raise English Mastiffs. Everybody should have one curled up at his feet. The ultimate bodyguard that can remove a persons arm with one pull, or destroy the bone as easy as a potato chip.

They are as easy to get along with as the owner wants. About 220 lbs for an adult male, yet smart enough to talk to like a person.

When they get sick it will cost you much more than a regular sized dog though.Surgery on my last one cost me around $5000 then he eventually died anyway.. Everything goes by weight. flea & heartworm is 70$ per month compared to 25$ for my terrier. Joe

That is why you get the cheaper Horse medication...I used to have to do this for my Anatolian Shepherd who weighed in at 167lbs. I always admired the mastiff for his size , but was too concerned about the issues with hip dysplasia. Also prone to CHD, gastric torsion, ectropion, PPM, vaginal hyperplasia, elbow dysplasia and PRA. Occasionally seen is cardiomyopathy. Just like you said ...very expensive when they have issues.

Uhhhh, that's my name.:D

Mine is just my first name and last initial.

My usual names I have had are taken in some way:

There is already a G Man. Many friends call me Dark Prince, because of dark humor. But then I found out that some black porn star was using that one; so that was out too.

However I may switch to E.T. which stands for Evil Tony. That is what they call me at work. We had two Tonys in the office and I became the Evil One and then just E.T. I got the name because I set up a witness (happened to be a lawyer) to perjure himself while I had a bunch of documents that showed he was lying. I don’t think he has found a job since…. the prick deserves that... he pissed me off once.

Started off as 'arclight943' - but morphed. Arclight being the 'code name' of B-52 strikes in the movie Apocalypse Now (one of my fav movies). '943' came about this way: I used to be sponsored skater in CO. A skateboarder's lucky number is '43' (another story, altogether:rolleyes: ), and '9' being our lucky number (yeah, I know, kinda silly). Combined, our little code became '943', or Colorado Skateboarder. Online, I am known as darklight943, or arclight943. Whew.
