What flashlights do you Rats carry

I was looking into getting a new light a month or 2 ago, something else came up and i never pulled the trigger on any of them but these were the ones i was picking out of then... And when i do go to get a light it will likely be one of these... Mostly due to cost and look.

Fenix pd35
Sunwayman v11r
Sunwayman M11r

But now i think ill add MH1A to my list as well :D

If you want a PD35 do your self a huge favor and type this into your google search bar PD35vn.

Is that a mod to the PD35 or something? Im not really finding much info on it... Maybe my google-fu is weak this morning LOL

Vinh (Wayne) Nguyen - Vinhnguyen54 - is a flashlight modder on CandlePowerForums who does great work, and generally increases heatsinking and swaps emitters and drivers to pull lots of current and get some amazing output from various off-the-shelf lights. He also spends a lot of time aligning the emitters and reflectors for a great beam, and often takes lights to the next level as far as either throw (though sometimes he goes for enhanced floodiness instead.) I haven't bought any of his "vn" lights, but people seem to love 'em. They generally need high-current-capable rechargeable lithium-ion batteries by the time he's done with 'em. I have had him mod 3 or 4 of my own lights - all of them have better heatsinking, farther throw, more brightness and enhanced dependability compared to stock.

Thanks for the info TJ!!

Sounds like the guy knows what he is doing!! More than likely that would be MORE than id ever need though LOL

Just received a Zebra Light SC52 .... WOW.... lots and lots of light from a 1 AA sized package !!!!!

Awesome!

How are you adjusting to the User Interface?

If you get a 14500 you can just about double the lumens.
.... yeah, only received it yesterday and the "interface" is a little different....much like Morse Code....but I am getting there. What is a 14500 ?? I like light.... ;)

AA size, but rechargeable and larger capacity. Gotta watch out if using in older lights because of higher voltage, but the ZL is built to take it.

HDS rotary with a ZL H502d for flood (Headlamp)

HDS and Prometheus are great lights but, as stated earlier, the Zebralight sc52 is nice. I grab one all the time over more expensive lights, not because I don't want to damage them, but the single AA battery is just so convenient and the overall package is so small. Easily one of best all time EDC lights.

The 2014 version of the Fenix PD35 will be in stock next week supposedly. 960 lumens on 1 18650 battery in a relatively small convenient package. I keep circling back to that one. Can be had for under 70 shipped... and i like Fenix...
