What folder would you pick if you were a castaway on an island

I believe if I were in a castaway type senario I'd want a larger blade that has metal with lower wear resistance ( so I could use improvised sharpening methods ) also a strong locking mechanism would be a must. The knife I feel would best meet my criteria would be the Cold Steel Large Voyager.

My Spyderco Chinook 3. Largest folder I have, tough backlock. Stainless s30v which would help resisting the corrosion.

Another vote for the Victorinox Huntsman. Every tool would have a use, except maybe the corkscrew.

I would definately choose the Victorinox Swisstool with the 2 cutting blades, wood saw, and metal file.

I'm going to say the SOG Revolver. The saw would be handy, and if it broke, it would be the easiest to mod into a fixed blade.

Right now I would choose the new Bob Dozier Workhorse I just got. It has 4 screws total, pivot screw, rear handle screw, 2 screws for the inset liner lock. There will be 2 more screws as soon as I put a pocket clip on it. With the Dozier Lock, you have the liner lock and stop pin in a single liner.

If not the Workhorse my ZT0500, or BM275BK Adamas. But I would prefer the Workhorse!

Swisschamp, easy to sharpen on the sea-rocks and the tools would come in handy.

A Svord Peasant or some other friction folder. Very few parts to get worn/break, and if they do the blade could more easily be lashed onto a stick or just carve a new handle

If we're talking single bladed production folder, the benchmade 275 Adamas is pretty tempting to choose. It's a bit too new to be totally proven, but it's built like an absolute tank from what I can tell.

I'm not sure if I would go for a multitool, as ultimate durability would probably be the bottleneck. I can't imagine trying to hack down a tree with a little 1/16" thick and 2.5" long blade on a leatherman.

I'm totally not a Cold Steel fan, but a pocket sword such as the Espada is pretty darned hard to argue against.

For 'just a knife', a Buck 110 would be hard to beat. For multi-knives, a Vic Farmer is nice - a Soldier, with a plain locking blade, or a Maritime series, like the Skipper, would be even better. A maritime-style knife - like a Myerchin sail knife - or that Skipper - might be more likely in your pocket if you were on a boat. Both are locking - not crazy about resharpening the wavy/serrated Vic's blade.

Seems to me that the only really useful thing on a multi tool would be the blade, then a saw... MAYBE pliers. I would choose a stout folder with strong pins/screws. From my experience, a Large Sebenza (useful>robust but plenty sturdy) or Strider SmF (robust>useful but plenty useful) would be my top two choices. I'd probably lean more toward the Lg. Sebenza.

I'm inclined to say multitool, a full size Swisstool perhaps. For a folder, the Cold Steel Pocket Bushman seems pretty robust.
