What folders are the Beckerheads carrying?

Not an official Beckerhead but well on my way there, but my EDC folder is always a Benchmade 551 Griptillian. I've beat on this thing far more than most would and it keeps coming back for more and takes a shaving edge when I'm done

I've been carrying a Blur most recently. Really like it. Solid knife.

I also got one in S30V but haven't yet carried it as much.

I guess with sticks or a slack belt it isn't too bad. But with so many nice drop points out there I shy away from the recurves. My blur is happy to park in my weekend car glove box.

I've always liked the look of the Blur and when I finally ordered one, oh man I was in love. Light weight if that matters to you. And very fun to flick open.

I used to use a lansky turnbox and that worked alright, but the KME with the rounded tri-hone is totally worth the money. Then I got an old leather belt and put some rubbing compound on it to strop with, works great.

I've posted twice to this thread - once in August '14, and once in March '15 - but never posted a picture.
The knife is the same, despite the number of knives that I've purchased to displace it. Almost daily, it's my ZT0200kw (I even bought an 0200sw, just in case something happens to it).
Occasionally, my ZT0801BW gets the pocket...but, if that happens, the 0200 goes in the pack or jacket.
Solo, and with a then new BK2 (yeah - I used recycled pics)

Lately, I have been pairing my Kershaw Knockout with my Becker for EDC.



But my ZT0350s (serrated and non) have been in the rotation with my Griptilians and a SOG Twitch XL.

Been busy with work and a new baby. It's a little tiring when you have a bunch of shit fall on you at one time. First we buy a house. While my wife is doing some work around the house, she fell and concussed herself, and then decided to rip out the "weeds" that we had in the yard. Turns out it was poison ivy and she found that she is highly allergic. Then a month later, "SURPRISE, I'm pregnant." Between all of that and the project that I finally finished at work, I haven't had much breathing room. Now I can relax a little bit. No sleeping, but relaxing.

I was up in VT for a few days in December to see some friends, but haven't been back since. I do plan on making the Gathering this year though.

That's the first time I've ever heard of that sort of "remedy" for poison ivy......

Today I am carrying my Kershaw/Emerson 6054BRNBLK (QC-5K ?) because I am in MA and it's nice enough, but not so nice I would cry if it were confiscated. Got my Godson in my bag as well as my ZT 0560 (and a few fixed blades) but MA law is pretty clear about no autos and no big folders. Which is funny, because my $25 Kershaw deploys WAY faster than the Pro-Tech sidewinder.

I think the VP9 is the ugliest gun out there, but it is the best shooting striker fired 9mm that I have ever had the pleasure of shooting. I wish they would come out with an FDE model.

I just picked up a Spydie Kiwi 4 and been carrying it. I think I like it along with my SAK.

Well..... Not really...... I have two.

The first was one of the orange Delrin models before they had to ditch the name Redneck Farm Tool.

After they had to change the name, I put that one back (and broke my no safe queen rule) and decided to buy one of the new ones. Without trying, I somehow caught the canvas Micarta model right as they were posted for sale sometime around Christmas 2013.

I read somewhere where only 50 of the green canvas models were made, but it is too nice of a knife to sit around and not be used.


I think we are even though.... I want a Bullbuster or a Smith & Son's Mudbug something fierce.

They're both pretty awesome, but the pivot bearings in the 0560 (& Elmax.....mmmm) make it a little awesomer. Plus sharpening recurves is a pita.
