What folding knife would you reccomend for a marine?

1. Benchmade Adamas 275 - nice, quality, rugged, reliable.

2. Leatherman Charge, Wave or Supertool 300

3. Some form of Victorinox Swiss Army Knife

These three combined will be well under the stated budget.

I like the Cold Steel suggestions as they are rugged, durable and affordable but the Adamas has it over the CS Voyager in being a "cherished" and "special" knife.

Carrying a Charge today. I only own about 10 folding knives anymore, two of those are Benchmade Adamas in both manual and auto.

EVERYONE should own a well built multitool. The ZT 0620 is a Very fine knife also. Can't say enough good about Cold Steel either. Holdout/Talwar/Recon. Descisions, Descisions.

Think I'd get him a nice Leatherman for sure. Have him pick out other if feels needs it.

Calaver Cutlery 3.75" el patron, you could probably find one for under $500 on here. I did. Ferrum Forge. Benchmade is always a good production, or spyderco.
