Wonder if the Tops B.O.B. fieldcraft is a decent knife.
Sure is a good looking knife. Don't care for the scandi grind however.
Its the glimmer in his eye that worries me........Ethan looks like he is up to something too
Next time I come up if you want to check mine out you're welcome to. It is a really nice bladeI was thinking of either getting the B.O.B., or an ESEE Laser Strike.
I think Mistwalker had some deal with TOPS going. He may have done a review on it, might be worth it to ask him about it.Wonder if the Tops B.O.B. fieldcraft is a decent knife.
This time!At least his pants are on

Hmmm...

Isn't the BK12 fairly larger though? Also, I thought it was considerably more than these. I found the B.O.B. new for $110 shipped.don't like the looks of the choil on the LS -- seems too small for my index finger. OTOH, overall grind and handle length are better.
I like the looks of the BOB better -- handle looks more comfortable, for one.
tough call.
have you had a chance to play with a Ritter perseverance Mk2 (BK12) yet?
similar price range and you know how the handles will feel.

What's the difference between a bk14 and a esee 14 look alike? Anybody have a side by side picture?

You mean a BK-14 and an Izula. I can take one if you need one. They aren't really a "look alike" as much as the 14 is an 11 with an Izula handle. What's the difference between a bk14 and a esee 14 look alike? Anybody have a side by side picture?
Price not bad, but a little longer than I want.6 inches, $125 shipped
They sure did, I was surprised myself.price has come down a lot on both the LS and the BOB -- a couple months ago both were in the $130-140 range.
The Laser Strike also has a divot, just on the other side. That was a complaint I saw in a review on the BOB, that the divit was too far on the end. The LS's is in the middle of the scale.I'd go with the TOPS. But that's just because I'm not really getting the Laser Strike's blade shape. The bow drill divot looks like a handy feature.
Really don't know much about the BOB tbh.110 for a Tops doesnt seem too bad. I dont have any experience with them, though. How is their HT? Does it carrh a warranty as good as ESEE's? Im not sure how I feel about the LS though. Something abt it I just dont like. I dream of owning a 5 someday though.
Man, I hear that. That's why I just ordered another slingshot, haha. Like I REALLY need another knife. Most of the ones I do have just sit here and collect dust.I know how it goes Warrior. It's sometimes hard to pass on the new steel!
