Sure, to each their own! I heard that many of 'em tend to break in and get smoother over time, but after two weaks of owning the BFC one, it did not really improve much. Polishing the washers a bit did improve this, and helped getting it centered ànd smooth. Maybe an idea for when you decide to get another one!
Been looking at leeks too, but I've got several assisted blades and I generally don't dig that too much, so... There are others higher on the to-get list.
 
Gluing up some scales for my BK-16... dark green micarta, karelian curly birch (I have a soft spot in my heart for that stuff) and 1/8" black vulcan fibers. Will post pics when the epox has set.
 
Just used the bk9 to unbox my junglas.

I'm not even sure why these two knives are so often compared to each other. They are two very different blades!
 
Thanks guys, I'm doing better. It may have been from something I had eaten. You know this will be the first place that pix of my axe will show up.

I have to call in sick to work sometimes due to a chronic stomach problem which causes me to vomit all night and the day after. All my boss says now is "One of those 20 beers you had yesterday must've been bad, huh?"
 
Murph, be ready to sharpen it. A lot (most?) of them come pretty dull from the factory. Also hope ya feel better.

Thought about getting a Junglas before. Have come across a few deals, but never went for it.

Doughtfull it was something you ate. Both of my kids stayed home today because of the pukes and sh!ts. Flue is going around that's for sure. Glad you and the little one are feeling better!

The two I have are pretty nice and open easily, but it's definitely not a hard use tool IMO. Great knife. Just not something you want as your go-to, hard-use ditch knife.

If you're referring to Oakley, they suck. Learned that long ago and won't buy their junk anymore.

Sometimes Sunglass Hut will take care of them, even if Oakley wouldn't.

Ill mess with it more but so far I really like it. Its no replacement for my BK9 but the Junglas could easily become one of my favorites.
