I don't know how much I can trust my cousin though. He and his wife are lacto-ovo vegans who are also gluten-free. He is an herbivore. THAT is it. I don't know if I can get behind that.

Yeah I sorta don't get the whole vegan thing, physiologically speaking humans are made to eat at least some meat. I try to stick to mostly lean red meat, poultry and fish but bacon is an exception![]()
I have a cousin that eats gluten free. And for the right reason, she has the allergy to wheat products, if she has it she sh!ts and throws up for a hour or so. However, MOST poeple today has turned it into a diet fad. I've researched it and found that not even 1 half of 1% of U.S. population truly is allergic to wheat so severely that they have to eat gluten free food. So why I ask is gluten free stuff invading our stores, resturants, mall snack bars, beer, they are even selling gluten free cat and dog foods for cryin out loud..........I understand its nessisary for the poeple that really have the problem but please........the biggest majority I call bullsh!t!!!!
Agree 100% Todd. We published a story about this a couple of year's ago. This is purely a fad diet with no scientific basis for the vast majority of folks.

Hey trade, y'all had enough rain yet? I'm about to call the guy over at Cheatham Lock and get this mess shut down.
Please do. And while you've got him on the phone, have the water temperature adjusted in the Harpeth. Kay and CS Mike both said it was too cold.![]()
The whole gluten free thing is kind of nuts. My wife was doing that, because of some severe intestinal issues. Come to find out, it wasn't wheat causing the problems, but if you research, you'll come to the conclusion that you are gluten-intolerant (Celiac). Come to find out, the antibiotics she had to be on killed off all the good bacteria in her gut, caused all kinds of stuff nobody would want to live with, and we went gluten free. This caused other issues, because gluten-free depends a lot on corn and soy, which are far worse for her condition than wheat. So, for the last year, we've been on the healing path and are almost to the point where we might be able to eat together at a restaurant again.
The one thing that you do learn in all of that is how genetically modified our foods are in America, and the health benefits we once received from many of our grains are way less than they once were.
Trade ,
Sent an email, just wondering if you got it.

We are symbiots.
