What Has Happened to Ferrous?

If our buddy Ferrous doesn't come home :confused: , and Rio Jim doesn't get the siru that I put up within the month, let me know. I have a kukri from the '40 or '50's that was probably from pipe and drum unit (this according to JP who I aquired it from) that would be happy to go live with Rio. :)

I just got an email from him! He said the seax ought to be done by tomorrow and that he'll send pics. :)

WOW!!!! Now that IS Great News!!!! Not just that the Seax will be done and shipped but also because he surfaced!!!!

Got an email response earlier today that he'd been busy at work. Glad he's getting it done for you.

Good to hear of Ferrous. Be nice if he could visit a bit more.

His knowledge is missed.
 
I was thinking about Ferrous recently too. Keith was at Nasty's Khonvention last year with his pal Trevor. He was a super guy. Very generous and helping everyone where he could.He brought a ton of stuff and seemed to be in great spirits. Anyone in, or around Indianapolis willing to do a little detective work? Or is that being a snoop?

I'm about an hour North of Indianapolis, and I'm always available for errands, etc...but I don't wan to be a snoop.
 
Semp - I'm certain that you will know where the corpse is...just remember that Bruise gets ONE kidney, not both!

Bruise - I can get goobers here in Ohio too if you are serious this time...

FWIW - I live about an hour and a half from Keith and he knows where I live and that he is welcome here...rather than snoop, I'd prefer to just remind him of that. :D

Thanks... I think I just like the idea of sending people to the four corners of the globe to do my bidding. Makes me feel like an international crime boss like Kofi Anan. :D
 
Well, I'm enough of a softy, I'd probably even get Goobers for Kofi Anan...but I wouldn't enjoy it like getting Goobers for you Bruise :) Any American candy you need--you just say the word!
 
Ferrous- yep. Met him in person. Just like the rest of you all I met- hard to believe but nicer in real life even than online!

What about MacH? Are he and Ferrous holed up together polishing blades?

Been snowed in with life, but don't worry, this Ferrous wheel didn't take Rio Jim or Donutz (Howdy, DaveW!) fer a ride. I can't access my old acct from this location, something about not recognizing the email addy.

Donuts, I'll (and I'm not just sayin this) have that seax out to you in the next 5 days. It is the best yet! I had an issue with the masking, and it actually turned out to be cool when I realized what it would look like...

Rio, I went kinda subdued on the Pappy Mem. Khuk, as noone seemed to really be into puttin a bunch of stuff on it. It does say "Rio Jim" in a small cartouche on the spine, and a small "Semper Fi--Pappy" on it as well. The scabbard is kinda a rough fit as you'll recall that it was for another khuk or something originally...

So, just wanted to clear the air, even the most stand-up guys can stumble and fall on occasion, but we do get back up and dust off, and come back.

Boy, it has been a weird 6-9 months, lotsa joy, sadness, gain, and loss, but still Sunna turns and shines her sky-gold on us.
