What have you been whittling with your traditionals?

It’s a chisel-ground, “shell”-construction, “The Ideal” knife. The Ideal was a step below even Imperial and Colonial in terms of cost and quality, but the 2 examples I have are solid enough. I modified the pen blade on this one for whittling.

Proof that a sharp, reliable blade is all you need. Thanks for sharing!

I’d have a much larger collection if I hadn’t figured that out. Stupid Swiss Army Knives and their stupid usefulness. 😠😜🇨🇭
Yessir! That’s a powerful realization. Victorinox produces some excellent knives and one would probably last you a lifetime.

Hey guys, how is 2025 going?
I’ve made myself a new opinel no8 with an old salt carved on the handle because I’d lost one at sea.
When I showed it to some acquaintances I ended up with 3 commissions for Christmas.
I thought it’d be cool to share them here.

Those are pretty nifty. I've been visiting some friends in California. I found a few pieces of driftwood on the beach and a piece of redwood in the forest that might make some interesting whittlings.
