what have you bought so far? (2021)

The Gerber 06 Auto S30V and then the Cold Steel Ti-Lite VI in S35VN with black G10 Handles and black blade. Always was curious about those two blade steels, now I know! Believe it or not I use all my knives for whittling and each knife I own has to have a specific purpose, each one at one time or another get used extremely super hard then I strop them on the back of a portioned part of my leather belt. Works for me. That S30V is an absolute monster I tell you. :0) Extremely well done heat treat. Same goes for Lynn's (as expected) S35VN. They're both savages.....lol.

I'll add - the last one (IMO) I'll ever buy, if I can find the magic handshake or if I have to bow 7 times to the Eastern Sky for 7 months I'd do it.....is the Emerson Elvia. After that - I have it covered IMO.

sgt1372 sgt1372 I really liked the Shallot...such a great carrying knife. The a/o didn't really bother me; but it's the main reason I gave them away. (I only have one a/o left - a ZT0770 CFM4 - and every time I remember it, I plan to de-assist it and start carrying it...then I forget about it again, instead)

spyderco kapara in grey g10 and 20cv. that was a must have. picked up 2 rough riders...a sunfish and an elephant toe because I finally found those two patterns. might dabble in traditionals a bit more this year, really enjoy using and carrying a sunfish.

I still have the Gerber 06 Manual in S30V I purchased around 2006 or 2007, one in straight edge and one with serrated. I usually have the serrated one in my pocket and switch it out with a Griptilian with Applied Weapons Tech aluminum handles or a 3 dot 1980-81 Buck 110. I have to say that solid steel striking pommel on the 06 is no joke. I love the look of the 06 and there are hardly any reviews on it. I always thought the Benchmade Adamas and Gerber 06 looked the best in terms of aesthetics. What do you think of Gerber's S30V?

Benchmade 940. 945. Mini adamas. Turret.
Kershaw link 20cv.
Spyderco pm2 S30v, 20cv; native 5 lw spy27, pm3 maxamet and cruwear OTW. Stretch k390.
Zero tolerance zt0460.
Trm neutron 2.
Civivi elementum and certum.

I’ve yet to try a CRK. I afraid that will spiral into more expensive knives that I don’t need at all.
All of this started because I’ve spent less on ammunition to burn because of current times.
I had nothing but a kershaw leek and a benchmade griptilian for almost 20 years before this year. Im definitely starting to lean towards spyderco for value, the thumb hole, and the quality and diversity of their steels.

Earlier this year ...
Endura S30V Teal
Endura VG10 Orange FRN

I just got a Spartan Blades Astor 3.5" of CTS XHP in the mail the other day.

Just ordered the Knifejoy exclusive Endura 20CV this weekend!

(Yes ... I like my Enduras :D )

2 used spydero enduras plain edge
Ontario ns-4
Ontario tfi
Ontario Mk3
Ontario Hunting knife 5.5 inch
Kbar Mark 1
Cold Steel SRK

Conversely, I believe that I have given away about 14 knives to relatives .

I hope that I restrain myself a bit more in the future.

Or soon to be…🤣🤣🤣

I've always accumulated knives, but given a lot of them away. A few years ago I started collecting them a bit more seriously. I have files on each knife I own, to give as many details about it as possible, but it would take me a while to figure out how many I purchased this year. Not being able to play sports, travel, or do any of my more sociable hobbies has resulted in my focus turning to knife collecting and things have gone a bit off the rails. I mean just cutting my own hair for a year and a half saves enough cash to buy a nice Bark River knife.
