Since Febuary... when I started to think about curbing the spending on watches.... and possibly collect knives to divert 'some' funds.
..........HELP!
RUN...Okay, I am doing the opposite, about to get into watches. Wish me luck!![]()
RUN...
RUN FAST.
IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION!
Its easier said than done!My plan is to buy only a couple in the 2-3k range then I will stop. I just want to have some nice ones to crown my low budget collection which I am otherwise happy with. Not gonna buy a Rolex, not even Omegas, just some fun microbrands, where the value is.![]()

Over the past year and a half I've downsized to two core watches. and I haven't been happier. But much the same as knife collecting - it doesn't stop.
Biggest piece of advice, stay away from "micro" brands if you want to ever be able to recoup any kind of money. Sinn is a great place to start if you want a great tool watch for not a whole lot of money.

www.watchrecon.comMaybe microbrands was wrong , but so far I like Formex, Mühle Glashütte, Christopher Ward, anOrdain, Junghans and yeah, Sinn. It is the hunt.
