‘Tis that a Furch?

I bought only a MiniChamp since my last update. Waiting for Spyderco to release a Golden model in K390, that's not an exclusive. Maybe I will get my first ZT (640/562). But I think that's it for me for this year. Unfortunately I got into watches, bought seven so far.
edit: affordable ones! but it adds up. :)

Great question! This past year, I expanded the ol’ collection to include:

- a couple of Spartan Blades (Difensa and a Harsey Dagger);

- an original Al Mar SERE Attack folder (Model # 3003);

- an original Spyderco Military circa 1996 with a serrated CPM-440V blade (Model # C36GSE);

- a Bark River Bravo-1 (1st Production Run); and

- an original CRKT M16-03

More than is typical for me, but I was able to finance these acquisitions by selling a bunch of knives (and a sword) that I picked up over the last thirty or so years of blade collecting.

OK, an update from my page 3 post, where I naively thought I might be for the most part done for a while 🤣 .

I'll start with a few that I mentioned but weren't in yet at the time of my previous post. There was the Wharncliffe Salt, on which I removed the black finish from the clip and anodized it purple along with a set of Ti hardware. The Kershaw launch 10 in teal, such a cool little auto. Then there was the Case Teardrop in "Kentucky Bluegrass", which turned out to be a pattern that I enjoyed much more than I expected. Also a Case Peanut in purple bone.

Then I lost my Zome Green Dragonfly on a hike, which was a blade swap from an H1 SE blade. As some of you know, I like to carry various SE Dragonfly's with blade swaps daily, so I needed a replacement. I decided to go bright with this one, and did a fade dye job on the standard yellow.

Here's where the SAK's come in. This was sparked by the release of a couple of classics for this year. As you can see above the is the LE in orange, but there was also the Mexican Zarape (blanket) pattern, and the "Jungle Green" Alox. This inspired me into getting back into researching and also pulling the trigger on some SAK's I had been considering for a while. I'll list some of them below, but there are also others that I bought in hopes of getting into mods later this year.

Then I got a Climber in StayGlow to accompany me while hiking. I put the extra marble scale on the back of that one

I stumbled across this delightful "My first Victorinox", a knife designed for kids and sold only in the European market but appears to depict forest animals on mushrooms 🤪 . If you know me, you know I had to have this one. I swapped it with a bantam and found a fitting bead for it.

2021 LE Pioneer X, and a StayGlow Classic to attach to the UV LED that I keep for charging the lume on my watches.

One of my favorite is an old Wenger Traveler that I scored in like new condition. I was also able to track down some fresh scales, one translucent blue and one clear.

I'm currently up to 43 knives purchased in 2021; sold one of those, so the net is 42 for the year so far.

Too many to list here but, if you want to bother trying to find them, I've posted pics of them as I acquired them in the Latest Acquisitions thread in this sub-forum. In fact, I just posted pics of 2 additional Natives that I recently acquired in that thread here today.

I think this is my 4th knife of the year. I'm not as rich as most of you folks are. :D

DLT exclusive Spyderco Endela red/black zome with 20CV blade.

I'm up to over 50...
But if the Missus knew the actual number: I'd be a "dead man walking..."

Understood. I was married for 25 years but I'm divorced (have been for almost 25 yrs too). Never been happier in my life. :)

I can do whatever I like, when I like and spend MY $ however I see fit. Knives currently are a major expense of mine (but won't always be) but what I spend on knives is nothing close to what I spend on cars and other things that I also collect.

I still have a long term GF (over 12 years now) but she doesn't have the status to tell me what to do and I don't have the status to tell her how to do things either.

That's about as good as it gets in a "relationship." LOL! ;)
