What have you done with your Hinderer TODAY....

Attempted Rescue of my (our) Power Head for the Central Vac System in my house....

Wife- " The vacume cleaner made a funny noise"
Me- "Really, like what"
Wife- "I dunno can you just "look" at it"
Me- "sure"

NaDa, Dead, Deceased and so is about $400:grumpy: I get it, I don't expect miracles BUT I have mentioned to her to please check it periodically, that isn't my hair strangling the life out of the vac head.

Oh well, Now I know why my Dad died at like 62 .....

Thanks Pal..... where were you back when it was still alive :)

Now the Dyson is in her sights:eek:

Good luck with that, we have two of them, I recently cleaned the heads of both of them (none of it was my hair either). I have replaced more plastic parts on those two Dysons, durable they are not.

My "Yellow" one is mostly Gray as in Duct Tape "Gray" ..... I know what you mean.

Another thumbs down on the Dyson. While they do suck in a positive way they lack lights, are unnessarily heavy/awkward and overpriced to match the overhype. But I'm speaking about a top end model that's a couple years old, unsure if newer Dyson models addressed these things or not.

Hahahahaha....... Rubi that's funny! Not about the vacuum dying, but the dialog (more so the response from your wife).

I can't begin start on how many times I've had similar conversations with my "special" person :-). The misses that is.......

For example.......

Me---> Honey did you notice the car making a funny noise when you were driving it.

Misses---> No, not really....... why???

Me---> On my way home from the store, it felt kind of funny/rocky and was making a weird (very noticeable, by the way) noise. I mean really you can't miss it.

Me---> Come to the car with me, so we can take it around the corner to see if you hear it.

Misses---> Okay

Interlude: We put on our jackets, grab the keys, and head to the car. Minutes later we make it to the car, get in, crank it up, and begin driving.......

Me---> Soooo do you hear it???

Misses---> You know what, now that you mention it....... it was making this loud noise (the same noise that we now hear together) earlier today.

Me---> Why didn't you tell me?!?!

Misses---> I'm sorry baby....... it must've slipped my mind.

Me---> You think!!!!! (this was of course stated to myself, inside of my mind)

Lol, the woman who I've encountered throughout my life....... never cease to amaze me. There wasn't "EVER" a problem with anything (cars, refrigerators, HVAC, or etc.) until I noticed it first, and brought it to their attention, haha. :rolleyes:

(P.S.) Though Mr. Rubi....... your wife does get brownie points for at least bringing it to you attention. Even though the problem could of been prevented, if the necessary steps were taken....... as you recommended. By the way....... been there, done that (as far as recommendations....... for prevention of problems goes). :(

GW101 I think most of,us have experienced similar incidents with our wives, GF, significant others. When my wife tells me the car is making a " funny noise" I ask her is it a squeaking, grinding, thunking type noise or is it really a ha ha type funny noise. She just looks at me and tells me fix it!

Me?...well...thanks for Aspen but I could just Telluride while Whistler past the Himalays. Please excuse my Vail attempt at humor. :D

In all seriousness my current location and limited spare time leave me without enough motivation to buy my own gear. However, glad to see you rock Burton gear...it's top on my list should I ever be motivated.

Yard work today. Opened 50 bags of river rock with this. It's about as sharp as a spoon right now.
