I like the norsmans polarizing blade shape its what drew me to it. Same reason I love ckf rotten evos and borka designs. That is what I was originally sold on but im not sure I will like the bounce back from the guillotine action after watching some videos on it. I love the hydralic slower drop action which I beleive the shirogorovs and koenigs tend to be.
sorry had to fix my autocorrect gibberish takeover in my last post....yeah I get that on the horseman. id rather have the rask which is more my preferred choice.

I’ve owned all of the knives in your options. Shiro’s are nice. Koenig’s are nice. But there are other options in that price range.

Eustler DUK is a phenominal knife if you can find one on PB washers. iMamba is excellent on washers.

Out of the three options you have posted…Shiro or Koenig.

Darn man…that is one sweet knife. DM me with specs if ya got time.

Skip the 1k production model and do a hand built custom with someone. Of course I recommend ODKW but I’m biased. 😉

I find myself drawn more to the absolute perfection of machined knives. Im a machinist/tool maker so thats the wheelhouse im in and just enjoy that type of knife. I do respect custom hand made knives though.

Got ya, totally respect that. I’ve never owned any of those but I do want a Norseman someday. I’ll probably go the secondary route though.

I've had an Arius and ended up offloading it quickly. The clip is terrible if you wear pants with thick pockets, and while mine had a great action, the lockbar flexed significantlywhen the flipper tab was pressed, leading to notable blade movement before the knife even opened. Evidently this is just a thing that some Arius(es?) do.

Conversely, I bought one Shirogorov late last year and now I own 8 of them. Make of that what you will.

Change the Norseman to a Rask. It’s a dream. Ive owned many many high end knives and it’s still amazing to me how they produced a knife so slim with INCREDIBLE action and ABSOLUTELY ZERO blade play.

I’ve heard the Norseman is equally as smooth, I just don’t love the blade shape.

I’d give a slight edge to Shiro for overall action and quality from all that I’ve owned/experienced. The only Stellar I owned had a weird squeaking sound coming from the lockbar when I disengaged it to close the knife. I think I’m the only one who experienced this issue though.

Comparing Shiro to Koenig is like comparing 2 supercars, it’ll come down to personal preference bc they are both great, just subtle differences.

Im very much leaning towards a shirogorov at the moment there seems to be less of them on the market and harder to get. Plus I like the carbon offerings they have. Do you have a hati or f3?

I noticed the same flex and movement of the blade with the Arius as well when pressing the flipper. Shiros don’t do that. It’s a small detail but it’s there.

Ok thats good to know. I had a hinderer eklipse warncliffe and a ckf rotten that both did that and I couldnt stand it had to flip em.

Im the exact opposite I dont much care for the rask very boring in my opinion beautiful knife just boring and I love the norseman hippo blade just so odd looking makes me happy. The fjell is interesting from a machining standpoint as well but thats a separate conversation. Also mixed up the stellar with the hati I want an f3 or hati im not super competent on shirogorov models yet.

I have an F3 and a couple F95s. I can highly recommend those or a Hati, as they're all the same profile. The F3 is just thicker due to the contoured CF scales.

I voted shiro because my hati is my most refined folder that I own. However I have
not handled the other two 😪. First would problems I know. Have not compared blade thickness but I prefer thinner for my uses,

Also, you need to strongly consider an A2 knives model. They have several models to choose from. South African makers, I think they are better than Shiros regarding smoothness of action. They run on dual row ceramic IKBS. $900-$1100 will get you an absolutely amazing action and an amazing knife.

This is my A2 A11. Absolutely the smoothest flipper I’ve experienced to date, even against much more expensive flippers. And you get premium materials, this has lighting strike carbon fiber with Zirconium hardware and clip, hand rubbed hollow ground blade too. Very hard to even see the small screws in the scales.

Quick Video, Volume UP!

That reminds me of a spyderco kapara just the handle shape. Those appear to be on the smaller side which im not really into. I really prefer 3.5" - 4" blades. The only "small" knives ive ever been happy with were sharp by design mini tempest and mini typhoon. And those arent even really small just have perfect handle to blade ratios. I think ive ended up selling every other small knife ive owned.

Cool, I really want an emerald carbon f3 but cant find a new one for the life of me. Found a couple on the second but not a fan of buying second hand unless I absolutely have to. I dont know how shiro releases or produces knives number wise and or when they run certain styles.
