What is missing in ESEE's product line?

I'll just throw out again a request for a couple of training models with cheap, bright FRN handles to keep the price down and little just-in-case reminder that its a trainer in the sheath. Holes in blade to closely mimic actual weight of the fully functional model.

No sheath supplied and please keep price down, it is ridiculous for a trainer model to cost close to or same price as the real functional knife.

I think a trainer version of the 3 and 6 would cover it. Maybe later package them together with the functional model.

The knife I want to buy is a thinner version of the 5 or a 4/6 in the Mil style.

Another thing I would like to see is a better container for a small survival kit.

Something water proof and fits in a cargo pocket. Kind of like the Brits have. That's a nice little container, but I would rather buy from an American company.

It would be great to be able to boil water by hanging it to. That way you can easily remove a hot tin from the fire as it's hanging from a stick over the fire and not sitting in it. Also make a small tin knife to fit in it.

If it was 5.5'' x 4'' x 1.5'' it would hold the same amount as almost 6 Altoids Tins and boil over 18 ounces of water.

This seems to be a constant theme. I wonder if anyone at ESEE is tallying the responses?

I'd like to see this also. Essentially a RC-6, shortened to five inches to compete with the Fallkniven S1. Yes, I know its not stainless, but the function would hopefully be similar. I'm getting an S1 as ESEE doens't have anything to match it in size.

1) Choil-less versions of their knives
2) Uncoated blade versions of their knives
3) SS versions of their knives

I'd love to see a "3" in an uncoated SS version without a choil ;)

<yes, I know it's blasphemy!>

I mentioned something similar to that on the page before this. :D

1911 DPX Skull grips
Titianium Screws for handles. Flamed ones :)
ESEE Blow Gun
DPX Skull Knuckles
ESEE Jungle Boot

My ideal blades would be:

An ESEE-3 made in uncoated 154cm with black G-10 handles.

An Izula in the same steel.

And the often talked about thinner, full-flat ESEE-5 with a choil.

154cm has served me extremely well in the past around water but 440 with a ROWEN heat treat woud most likley be great as well.

3/16" Thick RC5 with orange handle option
Esee Spearhead with sheath( around 6-8" long with socket to put on shaft)
Survival hatchet with micarta grips around 13-16" long overall.
Kydex sheaths for the 3 and 6

Great minds think alike.

I do like their kits, but a great tin to carry them in and boil water would be perfect. Now even if your tablets go bad or whatever, you can still make drinkable water.

I agree, SS is the way to go.

I like the basic footprint of the Penrith and BCB Tin, I just wish it was about an inch deeper! That would be awesome. You could carry quite a bit more and as you pointed out, boil a bit more water. You can do that in the standard/classic size tin, but you're going to be doing a lot of boiling.
