What is on your list for 2013? (traditional knives only)

I think if i'll buy any knife this year it will be either a case sway back jack or a yeller peanut, ...or maybe both.

No, see, this is the year I sit quietly in the evenings with a glass of wine and the Tray o' Happiness before me, enjoying the knives I already have and neither seeking nor wanting anything else.

Wild laughter into the night.

I have a certain small fixed blade in the works, and look forward to seeing the Pemberton real-ized, and what Charlie and/or GEC might come up with next on the #15 frame-- so much potential, already realized to perfection in these first runs but with more undoubtedly to entice-- and will likely be surprisingly smitten by something I have no idea exists (and might not, yet!) that someone here brings to my attention....

Here's to 2013. :-)

GEC will undoubtedly open my wallet up this year I am sure, the half-whit is catching my eye right now ;)

Also would not mind picking up a Morris friction folder with sheepsfoot blade either.

Looking forward to what Queen has up its sleeves. If I could inspect one in person I would be all over one of their carpenter whittlers I just recently discovered.

Have a knife in the works with Jared Oeser, already seen the drawings and I cant wait for my first custom :D. Jared is an absolute pleasure to work with and we all have seen what he is making . Mine will be a new design and have two blades, thats all I am saying lol

One I will get this year is a 3-5/8" curved Jack with amber jigged bone covers from A G Russell, that thing just keeps calling me.
Resistance is futile.:D

No particular list. I will be watching Great Eastern this year to see what new patterns they come up with. Ditto Queen, especially curious what the new owners will produce, and wondering if they'll continue the Heritage Series and S&M File&Wire traditions.

And as always I'm on the lookout for original Old Timer knives to add to the collection.

Not in any particular order but here is my list:

- Case 6292 Texas Jack
- GEC CC HJ7
- GEC CC TC's
- Keith Johnson custom
- Ken Erickson custom
- Bret Dowell Swayback Gent

Right now, I'm sure I'm getting some 440c #68 White Owls and probably at least one #06 Pemberton. Hopefully I'll be able to add to my #48 collection with some 440c Jacks and #48 Jacks with slender clip blades. Probably add to my GEC collection in general.

I'm on a few lists that I hope my name comes up this year too.

A Tim Britton Bullet in either stag or mammoth.

And I'm not a 100% sure whether it classifies as traditional. But the 2013 A.G. Russell Texas Ranger. (won't be out for quite a few months)

I've got plans to rope and corral a few cattle and stock knives in the coming year...

(Now if I could just get the "Rawhide" theme out of my head...:p)

"O, I've got a little list..."
Gilbert and Sullivan, "The Mikado."

Actually my list is unending. The only question is, "which knife makes it to the top first?"

EXACTLY Frank! :D My 'list' is constantly changing. I'd like a 2 blade ebony GEC Barlow, and that Huckleberry Boy's Knife is pretty sweet, but I still haven't got one of the #25 Jacks. I want to pick up something from Trevor Ablett, maybe a Barlow. A Case yeller Peanut of course. I'm sure there's loads of others, my roving eye has lusted after. But, most of all, I'll continue hunting after some nice old Sheffield folders :) And there's a few things I need to pick up for others ;)

this one, Barlow, sunfish, mini folding hunter(just realized they are all GEC:confused:) and hopefully one custom :positive:

A couple months ago I bought a GEC Hayn' Helper sheepsfoot with pen blade in orange. I like it, but I've decided I don't really need the pen blade, and the extra weight and thickness makes me hesitate to put it in my pocket. So first on my 2013 list is a single blade sheepsfoot Hayn' Helper. I haven't decided yet what handles I'll get...orange for sheeple-friendliness, black for basic utility, or GITD for coolness. Or maybe all three.

Considering I just started collecting traditional knives I'd have to say any one that looks good to me.

*Sigh* It's threads like these that remind me how nutty I am :D

I am looking at:
-finding a Stainless #72 Lockback like Sitflyer has (Tippy top of the list for sure!!!!)
-Finding a cocobolo #47 Whittler
-Stag Opinel
-More vintage SAK's
-anything that catches my eye
