What is on your list for 2013? (traditional knives only)

GEC 85 (Probably Cocobolo)
GEC Hay N' Helper
GEC Pemberton
Case Slimline Trapper
Queen English Jack
GEC Harness Jack
Queen Balloon Jack

Im in for any old bareheads
GEC Jigged Bone Boys knife
GEC Saddle Trapper Stag handles
GEC Half Whittler

I purchased my 1st knife of 2013, a GEC #66 Tidioute Ebony Wood. Also, having Mike Zscherny make me a 3" Trapper that I will get to see him finish, since he only lives 10 miles from me! :D

I would like to get three knives for 2013..A GEC and a Case, one will be a barlow and the other, who knows ? Also need a Mora for camping/kayaking...I'll probably do another give-away as well...CD

well the wife and i agreed after my last purchase (case texas jack back in september) it would be the last knife i buy for awhile...and apparently awhile means at least a year (bad negotiating on my part, i didnt realize what i was agreeing too :D)

but for 2013 i would LIKE to eventually get a GEC #66 ebony jack and probably a case full sized trapper in cv
at least i got till like september to save up some $$ :D

there's nothing out there in the slipjoint land that's calling me. i want to work my Robeson buffalo railsplitter into my rotation. and put some leather handles on 2 case blanks my fnl gave me. then it's the 'do i buy or make a sheath for them' dance :)

i'm itching for one of the brkt little creeks in 154cm, but why do i need a small fixed blade if i have a GEC #23?

I was ready to go ahead and buy a saddle trapper from GEC, but I lucked into a trade for a BF 2012 traditional saddle trapper. Cannot wait to carry this knife. Thanks Mark!

I am going to buy the new 2013 Case Bose collaboration, sight unseen, got to put my name on the list for it with my "go to" ahem pharmacy ...

From GEC, I'm looking forward to pretty much anything they put out, but specific patterns I will try to save up for are the Ben Hogan lockback, the Missouri Trapper and Trader, both Huck Finn boys knives (1 and 2 blade patterns), and I would like to pick up a 73 jack pattern. I made the mistake of looking at their "upcoming patterns" page, and I think that GEC is my new crack dealer for the forseeable future.

I am excited to see what the Daniels come up with at Queen, and look forward to seeing Ryan at the upcoming Mason Dixon knife show. Ryan said that they want to keep their collaborations with Dan Burke and Joe Pardue, so that should be good. I have the Burke Barlows, and they are great.

I'm looking, not hard though, for any of the Bose collaborations in CV from Case.

I'm always on the lookout for any salvageable folders from any number of manufacturers, young and old. I'm on the hunt for some bone scales for the old Camillus stockman I just picked up. Looking for some other discontinued knives too, like one of the Japanese made Silver Knights from the 90's-00's.

I also have two custom orders for this year, that involve the good old Kephart. One from ML (Matt Liesnewski), and a customized Kephart from Scott Gossman.

I can't buy everything, and will probably only purchase the Bose 2013 collaboration and the custom orders. Anything else would have to be a trade. My one handed wonders are sitting more and more, and I've had some luck at gun and knife shows trading them for slipjoints. Maybe I can move those for some GEC's ;).

perhaps a mercator k55k and a japanese higonokami.
i seem to really go for these unusual (for the united states) working knives.
but i got quite a few things during the holidays and i kind of want to spend some time sharpening them, carrying them and making up my mind what i do and dont like.
lately ive been fascinated with my new douk douk.

I'm getting a custom Zulu and a nice little GEC 25 this year. So far, I've got the Zulu planned and I'm lookin for the 25.

I have ordered this week a GEC #73 in Bocote and an AGR Curved Regular Jack w/wharnecliffe blade in Amber Bone. That's all that's on the list for the moment.

They sound nice, but, wasn't it a 23 you ordered? There's a fair amount of size difference between a 23 & 73....

I'm impatiently (as ever) awaiting three knives: A single blade, a single blade and a Jack. After that, no more NEED for further knives and endless cravings ..hahahahahaa:D:D:D:p

My list:
GEC #68 Buckaroo in black Micarta
Assorted finds from the flea market, garage sales, etc. (Old Timer, peanut)
GEC Hayn' Helper in orange with sheepsfoot blade
I don't know what else, but caddying will help pay for them all.

Case peanut in cv or demascus with stag

A 70's era Case 6332

Case SBJ in cv

GEC Geppetto Whittler with stag

Thanks, Willgoy! True that... Alas... numbers are not my specialty, I transpose and otherwise mess-up stuff like that regularly(I've got trouble with pesky passwords too!).

The BF Trad. Forum 2013 knife.

Anything else depends on disposable resources at the time. There's a LOOOOONNNGGGGGGGGGGG list under that heading. :D

After being on this sub-forum basically since I began, I'm really going to put some money aside for the 2013 BF Trad. knife. I have some traditionals such as Case, Western, Craftsman, etc. but want to upgrade so to speak. Unless I see a real bargain I'll just wait!

One knife I just can't get out of my head is the AG Russell sowbelly trapper.

I guess I'll just have to break down and get one this year.
