What is Spyderco's BEST slicer?

I'm going to say the Spyderco Spin. That little knife is a cutting beast. I have the one with the web design and it's an awesome little knife that gets overlooked quite often. That also has a really thin blade.

It's gotta be the Delica in FFG. I don't think that's an opinion, either. It's got a FFG that starts at 2.5mm thickness. If there were a 2mm blade that were FFGed, then it might beat the Delica, but I don't think we've seen one yet.

Not necessarily, My Lava is much much better slicer than my dragonfly. Even though the lava has a 3mm blade vs the 2mm dragonfly, the thickness just behind the edge of the Lava is much thinner and is like a razor

I bought my Rock Lobster to be a slicer. I like it a lot.

Out of the ones I own, it's the S30V Military. Even though it's thick at the spine, it slices way better than either of my Dragonflies.

I think the JD Smith and the ZDP Caly Jr are the two best slicing spydercos I have. Well other than my Yang(I think PE kitchen knife) when it is up to date on its sharpening.

Haven't read responses but I would have to go with the older Calypso jr. followed by the new FFG Delica and the newly discontinued Centofante 4.

I reprofiled my ZDP endura to 22 degrees inclusive. It can slice transparent slices of cream dory for sashimi. Maybe how good a slicer a knife is, is also a function of bevel angle.

Actually I'd think that it's a combination of stock thickness, blade grind and blade height...ideally a full hollow grind with a tall, thin blade. (No full hollow grind, so either a deep hollow or a FFG...that's why I'm asking for suggestions :)

My vote goes to P'Kal. I've managed to sharpen the blade to the point, that I can whittle a hair with it, just holding the hair from the other end. Haven't managed to do that with too many other knives.. and I have rather thin hair :)

Well, I have a Krein'd D4 and Salt 1. They are truly pocket lightsabers now. I just got them to whittle hair. :D

Out of my limited experience with Spyderco models, I'd have to give the slicing edge to the FFG Delica. I got my mom one and couldn't believe how it zipped through paper and light cardboard. If you want an awesome slicer and are on a budget, the D4/E4 FFG are no-brainers.

IMHO every post before this one is wrong. The Catcherman is the street (boat) scalpel your looking for.
