What is Spyderco's BEST slicer?

They are all good... I like the Gayle Bradley the most because of its ability to keep its scalpel edge, Second would be the Caly 3 if you want a smaller blade, and a Centofante 3 or Delica 4 ffg if your low on funds...

I just relized something ,anyone that's not saying the cf stretch is the best slicer ,never used a cf stretch :D

It's gotta be the Delica in FFG. I don't think that's an opinion, either. It's got a FFG that starts at 2.5mm thickness. If there were a 2mm blade that were FFGed, then it might beat the Delica, but I don't think we've seen one yet.

The only blade I have that beats it in terms of thinness of the tip is the Kershaw Needs Work. It happens to sport a high, hollow-saber grind.
It's coming, it's coming. :D

Trust me, when the Chaparral hits the shelves, it will be the new slicing champ. 2mm full flat ground blade makes it slice insanely well. The only Spyderco I have that will out slice it is a K05 Utility Knife, which is not really surprising given it has a 1.2mm ffg blade.

What you all slicing that you need the best slicer? Second best or even third best won't do? Military or Para not good enough? Or even Stretch?

If we are buying Spyderco it probably means that "second best" wasn't good enough :D

I like super thin, since all my use is light. It's not a "need" thing.

ZDP calypso junior has been the overall champ for me - although that being said, if you want a big slice, I would have to go with my CF/BG-42 mill -- I have a wicked edge on it.

I have a Delica 4 FFG, 2 Endura 4 FFGs, 2 Caly Jr. ZDP's and a Caly 3.5. I suppose if I worked on it on the stones for a while, I might be able to make the Delica the best slicer, but out of the box, the Caly 3.5 is the winner. Even though the Caly 3.5 is thicker at the spine than the Delica FFG, the Caly 3.5 is still thinner above the edge than the Delica. The incredible blade geometry of the Caly 3.5 makes it the best slicer for me among these knives (and also the extra blade length doesn't hurt either for practical slicing ability). The Endura FFG is a good slicer but not the best because it is fairly thick above the edge.

All of their FFG blades slice well. The Military and Para series come with a pretty pronounced shoulder on the edge that I am thinking of taking off of there with a few passes on the diamond plates...leaving the edge itself alone.

I think of their FFG offerings, I am with Powernoodle (I miss the guy with the mohawk!)...the delica is like a scalpel...their very best slicer.
