What is the best deal you have gotten on a knife lately?

I'd have to say the Himalayan Imports 18" Ang Khola for $145.00US plus shipping & customs to Canada. Sounds like a normal price for a large knife or sword of low to decent quality; but I don't think I've ever seen such workmanship in a knife! The entire thing came with a flawless mirror finish, the scabbard was beautifully decorated, and perfectly fit to the knife such that it sort of "snapped" in and out. (It still doesn't even rattle when it's put away.)

Oh yeah, and I don't have a Rockwell tester, but that metal is HARD! It always takes a long time to sharpen because most things just skate off the blade. (Which is handy, because that means it also takes forever to get dull.)

Oops, ranting again.

The only problem I've ever had is the ergonomics of it; the pommel has a sharp point on the front and back, so sometimes I get a sore spot on my hand when using it. If I keep that in mind and adjust my grip though, it's just great.

My best deal so far...mint Small Sebbie on eBay for $205 shipped. This baby is gorgeous! I'm pleased with the deal.

Marbles Fieldcraft with the cocobolo carver handle for 60.00. I love the knife. Great ergonomics, great steel , wicked sharp edge, perfect for skinning out those big Kansas Whitetails.

I bought an Emerson Commander with serrations and the black ti coating for 90 bucks recently from a member here.

some older deals, an old Hubertz auto with a sub 3 inch blade, I really like that lever lock on it.

And the best one that I have 1 mint, and 1 really badly used and beaten 11 inch Rizutto swingguard autos at six dollars a piece and yes they are the real rizuttos.

I just picked up a Tak Fukuta early 80s folder on E-bay for 24 bucks. Will most likely sell it for a bit more. Don't you think?
