What is the best folding knife?

I guess not everybody peruses the first page before reading a thread to see if there are several other similar posts. Oh well. Joke's on me I guess.

Actually, I didn't peruse anything. I could tell by how he wrote what he wrote, how long he's been here, and who he is to deduce that he was having a laugh. Don't be so sensitive.

I've heard from some friends that Chris Reeve Sebenza model knives are the best folding knife going, but some other friends told me they're overpriced - what do you guys think, should I just get a DPx HEST, Benchmade, Strider, or Spyderco instead?

I asked this question, but all I got was a recipe for soup!

Wow, what a timeless - and possibly answerless - question. Generally (as if this needs to be said one more time) the best folder is the one that best serves your purpose within your budget and your personal, ergonomic comfort zone.

That said, a few Spydercos, a few Crawfords (that perpetually seem discontinued), Wolf T2s and T3s, maybe even a SOG or Benchmade tossed in for good measure or maybe a few CRKTs?.

I'm not sure there really is a "best" - just what's "best for you".

As chess genius Bobby Fischer famously said - determine what's "best by test" and run with it.

Take care

What? No one mentioned Cold Steel?
Hey, they have the vids to prove it

(tongue firmly in cheek...)

Best folding knife is, the one that works for you, is in your price range, & won't cause major grief if you ahhhhh-misplace it, either temporarily or permanently. :D
